Guest guest
I am looking for anyone in PA who has experience with filing a moral waiver for their child. I am not yet at a place in my faith where I can validate the use of a religious exemption, and I will be having to sign up my oldest of 3 for Kindergarten very soon for next school year. I want to get myself situated so I can take care of this right off the bat. If anyone is in York County, even better. I am new here ... Mom to three children. who is 4 has had all her shots up til she was 2. Robin who also had all her shots up to 2 except the Varicella vaccine. And who is 1 and has never received and will never receive any vaccines. I have a wonderfully supportive husband and we have been married for 7 years. Thanks so much. Guest guest
From what I understand Pa only accepts medical or religious exemption.I am far from being a true religious person but I just used religious exemption for my daughter.I am in Lancaster county.I feel as a mother I must protect my child and I`ll do whatever it takes.I don`t see how a natural act of protecting your child can be against any religion so I felt comfortable using it. Guest guest
Thanks Sheri. Youlia, yes they accept Moral objection which is covered under the Religious exemption. Even though it's virtually identical to a Philosophical exemption, it's not considered separate, as it is in some states, by PA. So is it as simple as writing a brief letter... a one or two liner for example? Or does anyone know if PA, specifically York County requires the use of a form of some sort? Blessings, Rolinda Wife, Mother, Friend I encourage all to follow the link I gave to read the law for your state Most states are very easy go to the link and paste your law in an email to us and we can all help Sheri

I'll just write up something on my own stating objection on the basis of a strong moral or ethical conviction similar to a religious belief. However, I would still like to know from those in PA if there's a required form or if a personal statement is sufficient. Thanks, Rolinda Wife, Mother, Friend
