Yes, for the most part. The reality that you may be asked to prove your beliefs

and produce further documentation is always there, rare though it is. Certainly,

where you live plays a role......Anita

New York is the only state where that is required at this point.

In all other states you do not prove, you do not try.. You just use their

statement. If the school sees that this is the first year you have done

that and questions, you just say your spiritual beliefs have developed or

something. But now you have a religious objection - ONLY use their

wording, don't explain

Doesn't any state have the right to go so far as to take one to court if they

have reason to believe the exemption is insincere? Wouldn't they determine the

sincerity by asking for further proof?.............Anita

There is a new question style form coming from NYS Ed for new school applicants.

My son became a kindergartener this year and I was faced with having to answer

the three question form that had to be notorized and approved by the principal.

My other two sons were fine with their pre-existing religious exemption forms as

they did not switch schools....Anita

No state is like NY

You don't have to worry with a religious exemption as the wording is broad

Same here. We are in KY. My 2 children were fully vaxed (before I knew

better) up through their kindergarten vaxes. We got a religious exemption 5

years ago. No questions were asked.

I live in Indiana and they only have a medical and a religious

waiver. Here you do not have to show proof (like have a priest, or

church leader sign the waiver) but my question is..what if you are

of no religion? What do I say when I give the school a religious

waiver and they ask what religion I am? I am assuming since my state

does not require " proof " I can tell them that it is none of their

concern, correct?

Yes I did. I have read that many times. I was just curious since I

am of no religion if I should state anything differently. I am still

unsure what you mean by saying " use their exact words " How do you do

that when writing a letter. Shouldnt it say something like:

I, my name, parent of, child's name, chose not to vaccinate my child

do to religious reasons.??

I guess I am still confused on how I write a waiver using the long,

confusing words of the law.
