Nate .. i think you shld be able to get VegEPA .. from Immunity Today

in Olate, Kansas.

My infectious disease doc heard about it from a patient of his.. and

has friends @Immunity Today.. so he encouraged them to become the US

distributor.

I did use this product eons ago.. and it did help but I was still

looking for a magic bullet at that point.. so gave it up prematurely.

Cheers

Thanks for that, I see it on their website. I'm no longer looking

for the magic bullet, I just want to feel better :)

Do you remember how the product helped you?

Hi Nat,

I am really glad to hear that this is helping you. My onset was also acute

viral.

I tried the VegEPA product which Dr Puri recomednds and have not had any

postitive results and I

would like to compare notes. I'm in the UK so VegEPA easy to get.

Usually I take evening primrose each day at 1000mg strength. I take at least 2

of these each day

and have done so for years. This helps me with PMT each month. If I feel bad PMT

setting (and in

particular my mood getting bad) in I take more EPO. It really helps.

I decided to try the VegEPA alone so I could be sure of it's effect. Started at

2, then increased

to 4 and now 6. There have been no noticable improvements (4 months + now) and

my PMT has come

back with a vengence.

I sat down to take a look at this and wondered if it is the lack of Evening

Primrose Oil (GLA).

The VEGepa has only 200mg of EPO in 2 capsules. It doesn't say how much GLA that

is and their

website doesn't either. The bottle says that 2-4 each day is the dose and the

maximum is 10.

I'm wondering if it is the high dose of Borange oil that you are taking that is

helping AND the

high dose of EPA.

VegeEPA only has 200mg of EPO and you are taking 1000mg of Borage. Do you know

how much ELA is is?

VegeAPA only has 560mg of EPA in 2 capsules so you are taking 4 times that.

Maybe I should have

tried 8 capsules a day.

Kindest regards,

Annette

Hi Annette,

I hope I can help. My understanding is that EPO contains approx 7-

10% GLA, Borage is higher at around 20-26%. I had a great website

bookmarked that explained all this really well but I can no longer

find it.

I'm not sure what you mean by ELA.

Deficiency of any of the vitamin and mineral cofactors ( vitamin B3,

B6, C, zinc, and magnesium) can inhibit the conversion and I take

these.

I had an RBC fatty acid test done around 4 yrs ago that showed that I

had only trace amounts of EPA, so I was deficient. This could be

why I'm benefitting from the high dose now.

If you take 8 caps/day of VegEpa then that would bring up your EPA

almost equal to mine but the GLA would be a little lower than what

I'm taking but that's fine.

Is this what you are asking?

Thanks Nat,

You made perfect sense. Sorry mine was so confused.

I'll try 8 of the VegEPA and then supplement with extra EPO to my previous

level. I'll also make

sure to that my other supplements include the ones you mentioned.

I remember when I first took EPO it took 3 months before I noticed the

difference.

Thanks once again.

Kindest regards,

Annette

I took VegEPA for 3 months at 8 capsules a day, and then did 2 months at 10

capsules a day. The most significant improvement was with my sleep. I went

from dreamy/awake all night, to a good 8 hours deep sleep. However when I

stopped taking VegEPA, my brain fog cleared dramatically. I started taking

it again, and for 3 days I was totally lost in a fog again. If I don't take

an EPA supplement then my sleep quickly becomes poor again, so I now take

another brand of EPA (that also has DHA in) and am getting on fine with it.

To summarise, EPA really helps me sleep, but didn't help with the rest of

the CFS, and there is something in VegEPA that I am intolerant too.
