Guest guest
I significantly benefit from l-Carnitine tartrate as recommended by Braverman, MD. _www.pathmed.com_ (http://www.pathmed.com) mjh Posted by: " achoohoo " _achoohoo@... _ (mailto:achoohoo@...?Subject= Re:L-Carnitine%20Fumarate%20vrs%20L-Carnitine%20Tartrate%20vrs%20Acetyl-L-Carnit\ ine) _achoohoo _ (achoohoo) Tue Jul 24, 2007 8:55 am (PST) Hi there, I have just started supplementing Carnitine and am taking Doctor's Best L-Carnitine Fumarate. The type that is recommended by Dr Sinatra. I have been feeling a bit itchy since starting and my vision is a bit weird, I think these are possible side effects. The bottle says to take the supplements without food but other references say it may be taken with food. What do you think? There is also another kind of L- Carnitine supplement called L-Carnitine Tartrate from Now foods. Does anyone have an opinion on this? Then there is Acetyl-L-Carnitine, the only type that gets into the brain but usually not recommended over L-Carnitine for the heart or general applications. Is it less effective? What is the best kind to take? Thanks, Bob ************************************** Get a sneak peek of the all-new AOL at http://discover.aol.com/memed/aolcom30tour

Guest guest
thanks mjh, i also have a friend who prefers the tartrate over fumarate as the latter causes gastrointestinal symptoms. i have just switched over to acetyl-l-carnitine and already feel that i am tolerating it better than the fumarate. have others compared different varieties of carnitine? please post your experiences here if you have... there is also carnitine propionyl, anyone tried this? also interested in carnosine and any overlap and difference in properties compared with carnitine. dr barverman's website looks interesting but i couldn't find the recommendation for l-carnitine-tartrate there, can you tell me where i may find the information? many thanks. bob > > I significantly benefit from l-Carnitine tartrate as recommended by > Braverman, MD. _www.pathmed.com_ (http://www.pathmed.com) > > > mjh
