Guest guest
, I also taught school. One year I was put in a trailer where the heating system was installed backwards (no fresh air coming in, no moisture in the air) and the trailer was over a mold pit. I got the first ever sinus infection and could only sit and hold my head for a week - the pain was terrible. Of course the doc I saw gave me penicillan (feed the mold!!). My sinuses never recovered and I think that was the beginning of the MRCons in the nose. Many complained but the system found no cause. I think they tested mostly for chemicals with machines that didn't pick up low levels. They finally put us in the school building - but, my room was the all- purpose room with the 50 yr old heating system - giving off CO. And where the buses and trucks parked outside the door - the only access to air circulation. I even brought the case to Worker's Comp with tons of documents. Was refused!! The system wants no responsibility - they might have to take action and, in their eyes, might be open to law suits. I was given a bit of money to shut up. I finally had to drop my anger - I felt it was not helping me to get well.
