Guest guest
Dr. Shoemaker is brilliant, but that " Rosetta Stone " is a headache, isn't it? I think I recall that Shoemaker will interpret your test results for $35 or something like that. Contact him through the www.moldwarriors.com website; they will respond. Simpler than trying to interpret it yourself, or worse, having someone clueless doctor try. Go to the expert. > > I found these old HLA DR results, originally done for lyme, that my doctor doesn't know how to interpret. > Can anyone help interpret this? > I think it means 17/4-2/3-52A-53. With DQ I'm not sure. Shoemaker says to take the first number of a long number, but on the other lines the Quest antigen numbers match his (page 539-540). If it's a 7 instead of a 3 it wouldn't match any of the bad genes. > I think the bad CFS genes are 4-3- 53 so this would mean half the gene is CFS? One of the mold genes is 17-2-52A. So would that be the other half? > I don't notice oncoming storms as has mentioned. I stayed in a damp cottage in the woods on Cape Cod the past couple summers and was feeling better there (I think from sun, lying on beach, and generally clean air). > I do notice mold tastes and smells more with cfs, chemicals bother me more. My biggest symptom is post exertion fatigue, doesn't vary with location except for above at beach. > > > Quest Lab > Allele Allele Antigen 1 Antigen 2 > DRB1 03 04 DR17 DR4 Shoemaker says change 03 to 17 on this > DQB1 02 0301/09 DQ2 DQ7 > DRB3 01 __ DR52 ___ change 01 to A > DRB4 __ 01 __ DR53 > >
Guest guest
There are a few things you can do. I had my genetics done with LabCorp and they offered to have one of their doctors talk to my physician to interpret the results. Dr. Shoemaker will also speak to your physician. My doctor wasn't interested so I sent the results of the tests I had done to Dr. Shoemaker and he replied with a letter (hard to read his writing) with his interpretation. At the time this cost was $50.00. The information on doing this is on his website. He cannot diagnose nor treat unless you see him but, you can get the genetic numbers and what they mean. My brain couldn't wrap itself around his explanation in the back of the book. > > I found these old HLA DR results, originally done for lyme, that my doctor doesn't know how to interpret. > Can anyone help interpret this? > I think it means 17/4-2/3-52A-53.
