Guest guest
I don't know about EBV in particular, but other things such as Lyme can show false negative especially in patients who are the sickest since all the antibodies are actively engaged with bacteria trying to fight it off...For Lyme, some patients who begin antibiotic treatment see a postive test after being on antibiotics for a few months. Maybe the same is true for viral infections? EBV doesn't just go away as far as I'm aware, it's like herpes virus and it hides out in your system. I know I've had false negative results for hhv6 several times. So it's possible it was just a bad test. > > I have read about all these antiviral medications as possible treatment > options for chronic fatigue.
