Guest guest
Jen, Sounds like you're in order. I'm assuming that this Montessori school is private. If so, they do not HAVE to let you in without vaccines. Given the ideology of Montessori, this would surprise me, but as a private entity, they do have that right. Just letting you know. Sheri B. I have the affidavit that i got off line for Georgia exemptions (religious). I have printed it out and i need to get it notarized. Is there anything else i need to do? I want to look confident and knowledgeable. Does each school have a exemption form that i need to fill out? Or is the affidavit the only thing? Thanks! jen c
Guest guest
I'm astonished that Montessori want proof of vaxes....is that purely because it's the US? Guest guest
Most likely. Every school and every camp I have ever heard of want proof of vax. Camps may subject to state audits too. Guest guest
Yeah, Sue, it's all about liability here. It's not like they really CARE if your child is vaxed. It's all about covering their bottoms if they're sued for some reason. Sheri B. Anita Durney <mydurney@...> wrote: Most likely. Every school and every camp I have ever heard of want proof of vax. Reason I'm asking is that in NJ Montessori has no problem accepting religious exemptions for students (I found this out from another Mom). Hope the one in GA is equally accomodating :-) Bobbett
Guest guest
That's a very good question and I'm not entirely sure of the answer. My best guess is that they are all individually run. We have a private Montessori school here as well as a public " magnet " school that subscribes to the Montessori philosphy and can still be called a M school. It's a philosophy and teaching method, not a franchise, I would guess. Sheri B. Bobbett <bobbett@...> wrote: Sheri B. wrote: >Jen, > > Sounds like you're in order. Guest guest
Sheri, you are right...this Montessori school is Christian and runs out of a non denominational church. jen c -------Original Message------- That's a very good question and I'm not entirely sure of the answer.
