Guest guest
Ok, so first I want to know, why is a nurse discussing a patient on a public forum, is that even allowed? Second, she is giving secondhand information and because she is discussing it in a forum where people may not even know who she is, she could embellish some of the facts of the case. I would take what she says about this with a grain of salt. -- Sara Find out what stinks in Genesee County! http://geneseecountystinks.blogspot.com -------------- Original message -------------- From: " Sara " <nurturinghome@...> that nurse I 'know' her from other group. I asked her if the child had any underlying health issues and how did the mother try to treat him before bringing him to emergency room. I didn't get answer for these questions. Guest guest
I figured she went to far and tried to pull back by not answering any questions about " underlying issues. Guest guest
Wow Ingrid that is a horrible story! I'm sorry you had to go through all that as a child. I have done some investigations into my own case and found out that my younger sister was born around the time I got measles and that she had received the measles vaccine plus I had been vaccinated with other vaccines not long before I became ill (I have got my original vaccination records). My mother only breasatfed me for 2 weeks. The maesles went into my lungs and gave me pneumonia. This resulted in me getting lots and lots of penicilin, I still remember the injections in both my thighs, every single day for a very long time. My mum had to carry me to the nurse as my legs were too sore to walk from all the punctures in my thighs... I get upset even thinking about this. Anyway, I was four and had been in and out of hospital for 3 years ( I still remember the noise of the ambulance to come and pick me up when I couldn't breathe) and eventually my parents decided (on the doctors advice) to take my tonsils out. They did so, with no anesathetic, my dad and a nurse were holding my legs and arms whilst this doctor was cutting my tonsils out, I was covered in blood. They put a rubber apron on me and I was screaming my head off. This was of course very traumatic for me and could all have been avoided NOT by a vaccine but by breastfeeding (I am not blaming my mum, but the culture at the time and the lack of support) and by proper managent and NO antibiotics. The antibiotics discoulored my teeth ( to this day I have discoulored teeth...) and gave me vaginal thrush plus candida and made me look bloated and fat so that my friends made fun of me. So, this is my long story about measles. When a child dies of Measles, you need to ask a lot of questions. This 12 year old child should have gotten the measles at a much earlier age, when the body is more likely to cope with it. WHY did he not get them? Because it is no longer around in enough numbers for children to get at that appropriate age as they all get the vaccine. The same goes for Rubella, children don't naturally get it any more and then girls are not natuarally immune any more when they reach child bearing age and get the vaccine before becoming pregnant and we all know what this can do to a developing foetus. There is sooo much that you don't get told when a child dies from meases. You really need to look very deeply to get all the answers. And no, vaccines are NEVER the answer!!! In a way I am glad I got the Measles as it made me strong and prevented me from developing allergies. I am very healthy now except candida, which is hard to get rid off for me, but I blame myself as well for eating too much bread... I am glad I can share my story with you, it is personal but I think it helps to know some personal stories to learn more about this very important issue. Love to you all, Ingrid
Guest guest
Ingrid, I really sympathize... I had my tonsils and adenoids cut out the same way when I was 6. They wouldn't even let my parents in with me... I still remember how scary and painful this was!!! Guest guest
Man, that story gave me chills. Why in the world would they take your tonsils out without anesthesia???!!!!! I wouldn't feel too bad about the candida problem. I was on the Atkins diet for awhile, and one things Dr. Atkins says in his book is that candidiasis (systemic yeast infection) is more common than you would think. I see a woman who uses applied kinesiology to locate organs and systems in the body that aren't functioning well. This is the second time she's found yeast in me (this time from penicillin given in labor and antibiotics to stave off infection after my c-section), and I'm on a regimen with vitamins to get rid of the yeast. However, I am suffering this time from thrush of the nipples, which is making breastfeeding horrible. In addition to seeing her, and trying anti-fungal meds (through my midwives), I have been scouring the Internet looking for treatments to get rid of thrush, which can be very difficult to get rid of. There are all kinds of things you can do systemically to help get rid of yeast. I realize you have been struggling with yeast your entire life, and there probably isn't an easy solution, but if you look up " thrush treatments " or " thrush nipple " online, you will find some websites with lot of information about getting rid of yeast in general. Taking acidophilus tablets, for example, is a good way to start balancing out the organisms in your body. By the way, apparently having yeast makes you CRAVE sugar and bread, so don't beat yourself up for eating bread. In fact, don't beat yourself up at all. I hope you will be able to find some things to help you get over your yeast problem. And thanks for sharing your story about measles. Guest guest
If it were my child, I would completely avoid ANY form of allopathic treatment and seek homeopathic support. I think higher than normal doses of vitamin A would be helpful too. That's for the measles, Sue and Kay...right? Guest guest
Yes, that's what Sheri N. has mentioned, too (the Vit A and of course homeopathy). Guest guest
Abuse has been going on against children for eons. My dad grew up in foster homes and a children's home in the US in the 40s and 50s. Some of the stuff he used to tell us that happened to him and the other kids there used to make me sick to my stomach! And I'm certain he didn't tell us the worst of it either. What he told us was horrible enough, though. People did it because they got away with it. Children in past generations were often considered sub-class citizens. My parents both had their tonsils removed as teens while they were awake (one in the US and the other in Germany). I THINK they had some anesthetic to numb the area at least though... So I guess things were slowly progressing at that point (late 50s)! Kay Re: a child died from measles in canada ingrid and Olga, isn't it abusive? why do 'they' do this to children?! it enraged and shocked me to read this so much until I couldn't respond and symphatize with you. Guest guest
Sorry, I'm not buying it. This " nurse " can say anything she wants. Who knows who she really is? And IF what she is saying holds any truth to it, what OTHER modalities did this mother use before/after consulting the " homeopaths " ? There is just too much speculation in this case.. What was this child's diet like? Was he on any medications before getting ill? What were the credentials of the " homeopaths " ? Anyone can hang a shingle on their front door claiming to be one. My point is the public will never know the whole story. Do people die from childhood diseases? Certainly. But again, we don't know the whole situation. The chances of a truly healthy, robust, individual succumbing to such diseases I would wager is quite slim. Kay Re: a child died from measles in canada > > Yes, that's what Sheri N. has mentioned, too (the Vit A and of course > homeopathy). > > Kay the nurse replied saying the mother took her sick child to 2 differnt homeopaths in the week he was sick. they said his high fever is 'good' for him which shows his body is fighting against the disease. So from her story it seemingly the homeopaths didn't help her child. Again I don't know if they were classical homeopaths.. still not enough info!
