Guest guest
I have fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic pain 24 hours a day 7 days a week. I can barely function. I have 4 kids and its VERY hard taking care of the 5 year old. I got this 5 years ago right before I became pregnant so its been hell trying to take care of a baby. I spend most of my time on the floor. I cant run like she wants me to. I can hardly walk. I cant lift her. I am half the person I used to be and its hard to be what I want to be to take care of her. I cant stand more than 10 minutes. I cant sit more than 10 minutes. this all may sound stupid to some people but I used to love life and was so full of joy,now my joy is replaced with pain. It never goes away. I have been to probably 100 doctors and tried every alternative method there is. I have spent thousands of dollars on supplements promising to be the cure and nothing works. Please, please dont put your child through getting shots that may permanently damage him/her. Sorry I am just very passionate about this subject. love Janet
Guest guest
Hello , I highly recommend you read through the information that you received when you joined this list. Sheri N's website contains a wealth of information: http://www.nccn.net/~wwithin/vaccine.htm\ Another that contains an amazing amount of information is: http://www.whale.to/vaccines.html No vaccine is " safe. " They all damage the immune system. Older children and adults have reactions to vaccines, too. I had a reaction to my last tetanus booster about 8 years ago. I will never get another vaccine, nor will my teenaged children, as long as I can help it. The best defense against disease is a strong immune system. Breast feeding your baby is a huge immune system booster. Educate yourself about the dangers of all vaccines and the diseases they supposedly prevent. If you have specific questions feel free to ask. This list is a great place for information and support. I am a former registered nurse that vaccinated my 2 children faithfully. They were always sick. Their immune systems were a mess their entire infancy and early childhood. They didn't get truly healthy until we quit vaccinating and quit using allopathic medicine. We only use homeopathy now. If I had it to do over again, I would never allow a single vaccine to be injected into my children, ever. And I would only use homeopathy in those instances where it may have been indicated. No antibiotics, no steriods, no over the counter drugs, etc. Hope that helps. Guest guest
Hi. We have considered this option in the past, too, although right now we are probably just not going to vaccinate. Below is a link to an article about delayed/ selective vaccination called " A User-Friendly Vaccination Schedule " , written by W. , Jr., MD: http://www.vaccinetruth.org/safer_vaccine_schedule.htm He summarizes his recommendations as follows: - no vaccinations until a child is 2 years old - no vaccines that contain Thimerosol (currently, that means flu vaccine) - no live virus vaccines (except for smallpox, should it recur) Then he gives recommendations about specific shots. Like I said, we were going to do this, until we talked to our new pediatrician, who will " allow " us not to vaccinate without harassing us, but is still pro-vaccination. She said that giving the 1st year vaccines like DTP later makes no sense because the most dangerous time for a child to contract any of those diseases (diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis) is before age 2. Therefore, vaxxing them for DTP later makes no sense. Do it early, or don't do it at all. That was her opinion, don't know how reliable it is. But that's a big reason we're leaning toward no vax vs. delayed; also, the homeopaths on this group say that unvaxxed kids they see are infinitely healthier than the vaxxed, and I weigh that opinion heavily. There are some people on this list who do not believe vaccines actually prevent disease in the first place; not sure I agree with that, need to do more research, but if you do believe they work, then you just have to weigh the risks of vaccination injury vs. possibly injury if the disease is contracted. In that gray area lies a lot of hand- wringing and a lot of research and a lot of praying that you are doing the right thing. If you do decide to partially vax, one vax I would advise to stay the hell away from is the MMR, for multiple reasons, chief of which is that it causes the most reactions. Other reasons are it's better to actually get measles, mumps, or rubella as a child than to get vaccinated and possible get it later as an adult. Good luck to you. It's very hard to know what to do. :-) -Angie > > We chose to forgo the following vaccinations at 2 mos: > DTap > IPV > Hib > Hepatitis B > Pneumococcal Conjugate > As stated he is now 4 mos. old and he is due for round 2: > DTap > IPV > Hib > Pneumococcal Conjugate > and Prevnar > --- > From what I have read it is implied that my son can better cope with > some of these vaccines as he gets older and not to do it at this stage > of infancy. Guest guest
Oh, Janet, that is so awful, my heart goes out to you. I do know what it is like to have chronic pain... I have chronic joint problems because of loose ligaments, have had a daily headache for about 18 years, as well as fatigue and random pains over my body. I, too, have spent thousands of dollars trying to get out of pain, and all I've been able to achieve is some management of it. It really does sap your energy and enthusiasm for living. My pain isn't nearly as bad as yours, but I, too, have problems being an enthusiastic mom to my 4-month-old because of pain. I, also, am always chasing the latest cure. People offer help, but get annoyed when I tell them, no, I've tried that too... I wish the very best for you, wish I knew a way out. :-( Did you get the problems from a vaccine you got right before them, or is your body reacting to vaccines you had when you were a child? Guest guest
Why is there so many people that support vaccinations? Especially doctors and nurses? I remember telling a doctor about my concerns and she just looked at me as if I was stupid. What can we do when we need to take our children to the doctor and doctors continue to make us feel guilty for not vaccinating our children? lovezgod2@... wrote: I have fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic pain 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Guest guest
Amalia, I can't speak for all MDs and nurses, but as a former RN I know I was just following what I had been taught. I had no reason to question any of it. My children were fully vaxed, always sick, and yet I still didn't make the connection. About 7 or 8 years ago I heard of a friend of a friend that wasn't going to vax her newborn baby. I thought she must be totally crazy!! I couldn't believe she could be so stupid not to " protect " her baby! Thing is, I had done absolutely NO research myself into the dangers of vaccinating. I started doing that about 5 1/2 years ago when our new puppy had a reaction to his puppy shots. The rest is history for me. I've been researching ever since and can't believe what I accepted as face value without question all those years. So, I would say most MDs and nurses never bother to check into things for themselves. Here are some testimonies from medical doctors who HAVE " gotten it. " http://www.whale.to/vaccine/testimonies10.html HTH Kay Re: 4 mos. old son Why is there so many people that support vaccinations? Especially doctors and nurses? Guest guest
Did you get the rubella vaccine before pregnancy? This is often associated with RA. Just wondering... No one ever told me that vaxing was dangerous or that it could cause so many different side affects. I had to learn on my own; and every day now, I still try to learn more and TRY to spread the word, although it usually falls on deaf ears. Guest guest
, Is this something that might be improved/affected by taking the homeopathic remedy sulphur? I took some of it in hopes it would solve another problem I have, but didn't notice a difference so stopped. -Angie On Wednesday, August 16, 2006, at 03:39 AM, JULIE GRIFFITHS wrote: > <<chronic joint problems because of loose ligaments, have had a > > daily headache for about 18 years, as well as fatigue and random > pains<< > > Try ...Epsom Salts baths as you may have sulfur metabolism problems . > > > Re: 4 mos. old son > > > Oh, Janet, that is so awful, my heart goes out to you.
