Guest guest
Anyone on this list in the military or know of the rules about getting vaccines if you are in the military? My brother just came back into town (he's in the military) and I asked him what vaccines he's had this year, how often he has to take vaccines, etc. He said there is always *at least* one a year. Last year he only got one, but there were two offered. He said that he declined the flu vaccine, which they allow, but he " had " to get the Hep. B vaccine. He said if you don't get the Hep. B vaccine (or other vaccine they say you " have " to have), then you " can't deploy, " which means you can't go out of the country, which means you're " not in a mobility position, " which means that you don't qualify as a military member. So, basically, you " have " to get them, if they say (except the flu vaccine). Anyone know if this is correct, or if there are any exemptions for military? I have reason to believe my brother may be vaccine injured (from childhood), but it is hard to say. He fell down a flight of steps at a babysitters (only time my mother left us w/ anyone), and had a different temperament after that. However, a lot of his temperaments are characteristic of a mild form of autism, which makes me wonder if vaccines played a part in his behavior change as well. We'll never know. Any info on this would be appreciated.
