Guest guest
We had to have our beloved 13 year old dog put to sleep yesterday. It was very difficult and we are still trying to recoup. Anyway, he was vaccinated " on time " every year for the first seven years of his life. He was my husband's dog before we met (then he became mine) and my husband thought that he was doing the right thing by getting him vaccinated for anything possible. His ex wife was a vet tech then, she is now a vet, so he did get everything. Rocky broke his leg on Friday as he was getting up to come into the house, we had assumed that he just had arthritis, due to his age and size (about 85 pounds, and he is our small dog!), but it turns out that he had bone cancer and they had found a nodule in his lung, we felt that keeping him alive would have been selfish on our part. I keep on thinking about it, and the bone cancer was in his hind legs (it could have spread, but due to that being where he broke his leg, we are assuming that it is where it originated) and I just keep on wondering if it could have been due to the vaccines that he received. He was also vaccinated in his hind legs and it just seems like too much of a coincidence that it is also where his cancer started. Does anyone have any information on this? We stopped vaccinating our dogs when we stopped vaccinating our first son, but how much damage could have already been done? I also want to know if anyone has run into any trouble with not having their dogs licensed. We have another dog and are moving to a smaller more urban (if you can call it that) area and are concerned about getting into trouble for not having the dog license. We are planning on getting a privacy fence so that he won't be seen outside in our yard. He has an old license on him from when he was my sister's dog, we left it on just so that if any " officals " were to see him out in public, they wouldn't really question it. Guest guest
I'm sorry to hear about your dog, Sara. I highly encourage you to check out this website: www.truthaboutvaccines.org There are some great articles there. There is a group by the same name that I'm a member of. It's an awesome list for info on the dangers of animal vaccines and support for not vaxing your pets (much like this one is for human vaccines). The list owner is a homeopath, and there are other very knowledgeable people on that list. There are several there who have had dogs with cancer that were vaccine related. A few of them were cured with homeopathy. As with human vaccines, animal vaccines damage the immune system and can cause a myriad of problems, depending on the individual's susceptibility. We don't vax our dog anymore since he had a reaction to one several years ago. That's what got me started researching the dangers of ALL vaccines and allopathic medicine. Guest guest
Hi Kay, A family member's Akita is suffering with mange. She is fully vaxed and was aquired for free because of the parvo virus. I remember my sil using bleach to wipe it's rear and to keep her coat white. Do you think all that bleach in addition to the shots has caused this terrible problem? They're not worried because the meds cleared it up the first time, not realizing they aren't curing anything and this will plague her everytime het resistance is down. I feel so bad for her. Guest guest
Hi Anita, Oh, my... that poor dog. It's immune system has been ravaged in more ways than ones, the bleach most certainly adding fuel to the fire! As with any illness, the mange is due to the immune system being damaged. My sister's new pup had this last year. We got into a heated discussion because she was still getting it vaxed during it's treatments for mange. Talk about a double whammy! He's a very large, sluggish dog now. Very unusual for a large breed " pup " at one year of age. : ( Kay Re: Dog Vaccines > Hi Kay, > > A family member's Akita is suffering with mange.
