Guest guest
Hi all - this is my first post so bear with me! I am in England and my kid are 3 and 6. The eldest had usual baby jabs and single measles - this is when I started researching the issue more and the youngest only had vit K at birth and nothing since. There had been a suspected case of measles at school which is now known not to be. However, a note still came round from school saying there is an epidemic in the area and all children should have a 'booster' if they haven't had 3 doses of the MMR etc......... It also states that 2 doses will be fully effective along with actually having the disease in preventing measles - I know this to be not true - can anyone point me in the direction of some evidence? Also I overheard the head saying that even if you get measles after having the jab - it will not be as serious than if you hadn't........ any opinions on this? Many thanks - I am at work now and don't have the letter with me but will check when I get home as it was quite long but wanted to get some inital opinions now! cheers Nic UK
