Guest guest
Has anyone ever looked that the spreadsheets in the VAERs Data? It is so scarey! And I'm only looking at one year (1998). I am doing some very informal counts right now with my " research " on the Hib stuff I'm looking into and I think this just solidly made up my mind like nothing else has. I can post my " results " when I'm done if anyone is interested. ) ~ mom to Gavin ~ 07.09.05 ~ 9 Months Old ~ http://www.thelucastribe.com ~ KUSTOMIZED KIDS ~ http://www.cafepress.com/kustomizedkids Featuring Personalized Baby & Children's Clothing + Natural Parenting/Breastfeeding Advocacy Products

Guest guest
Well... like I said it was really informal, but I was only really looking for one thing - I just had to go through and add the info myself because they didnt. I found on the CDC that they said fewer than 10 cases a year of Hib disease resulted in death. In the information I gathered from the VAERs reports for the year 1998 here is what I found: 65 people (HUGE majority if not all were very young kids, I stopped checking ages after a while) died in 1998 after receiving a Hib vaccine. Most of these also received other vaccines at the same time though. (just fyi 126 people died that year from all vaccines) This number is also probably way underestimated, since it is said that only 10% of vaccine reactions are actually reported to VAERs. This number does not include serious injury (which there was WAYYYYY more of) only deaths that resulted. I think, for me at least, this shows more risk getting the vaccine than taking your chances with Hib - if there wasn't already enough proof. ) ~ mom to Gavin ~ 07.09.05 ~ 9 Months Old ~ http://www.thelucastribe.com ~ KUSTOMIZED KIDS ~ http://www.cafepress.com/kustomizedkids Featuring Personalized Baby & Children's Clothing + Natural Parenting/Breastfeeding Advocacy Products Re: VAERs Data , Please share and thanks for the hard work! Guest guest
Another thing that was suprising to me (although I guess it shouldn't have been) was the number of older people that died after the flu shot! There were more than I would have expected. Also a lot of babies died after the first Hep B shot. It was so sad to read the descriptions of the parents finding the babies not breathing. ) ~ mom to Gavin ~ 07.09.05 ~ 9 Months Old ~ http://www.thelucastribe.com ~ KUSTOMIZED KIDS ~ http://www.cafepress.com/kustomizedkids Featuring Personalized Baby & Children's Clothing + Natural Parenting/Breastfeeding Advocacy Products At 08:00 PM 4/30/2006 -0400, you wrote: >Well... like I said it was really informal, but I was only really looking for one thing - I just had to go through and add the info myself because they didnt. >I found on the CDC that they said fewer than 10 cases a year of Hib disease resulted in death. >In the information I gathered from the VAERs reports for the year 1998 here is what I found: >65 people (HUGE majority if not all were very young kids, I stopped checking ages after a while) died in 1998 after receiving a Hib vaccine. Guest guest
Yeah, I remember how upset, sad and scared I got after reading just a portion of the data from VAERS. It is what solidified my decision to stop vaccinating my older son and to never vaccinate my younger one. Since then, I have never quesitoned or re thought my decision. -- Sara Proud Mama to Colin 12/07/99 Jack 8/07/02 -------------- Original message -------------- From: " Lucas " <rachellucas6@...> Another thing that was suprising to me (although I guess it shouldn't have been) was the number of older people that died after the flu shot!
