Guest guest
Sheri, When K was scoped, the doc said that she didn't have evidence of measles in the gut and her gut looked ok. I know some docs have better technology to see in there, like the capsule they ask you to swallow. Kali never took this pill, so how could the whole gut/GI be examined thoroghly enough? Could it be that with the SCD Kali threw off this disturbance if there was to be one? She does have autism but, only had 1 MMR- Thank God! He did find inflammation throughout though. Could it be that because he is a doc that works for a hospital, be pd. off to not look well enough? Don't get me wrong, I am thrilled to hear that we aren't having to fight this also but, the reliability in testing has also been warped. It is also inconsistent to Kali's health. She has constant viral issues. Also, I was wondering if she would still need the Vit. A & D in the summertime? Thanks if you can answer any of these questions or have any comments. Jenn L Wakefield Confronting Stratton of IOM regardig Measles Virus in Gut/CSF & Autism http://www.nomercury.org/science.htm AUDIO In another troubling indication of the bias of the IOM, listen to a brief audio exchange between Kathleen Stratton, Ph.D. and Wakefield, M.D. from the May 2004 Chicago Autism One conference. Dr. Stratton is the Study Director of the IOM Immunization Safety Review Committee and Dr. Wakefield is the British gastroenterologist who discovered the presence of vaccine strain measles virus in the guts of many autistic children. http://www.nomercury.org/science/media/iom.wma This audio file is a 9 minute and 46 second sound byte but the exchange becomes quite intense at 3 minutes and 19 seconds into this Windows Media sound file. Mercury is a known neurotoxin. Mercury can't be good for the developing body. The question was, 'Is there evidence that the mercury in vaccines causes autism?' The committee believes that that remains a theory. " Even recent news articles indicate that many of the IOM Immunization Safety Review Committee members are backing away from the harsh recommendations in the report that call for no further research into the connection between vaccines and autism. Guest guest
I just don't think I can try to explain it all over again from the beginning due to things changing so much as far as going to the HP in Rhode Island that you sent me the info. for. Also, $ is so hard to come by in our family and I's not willing to give up her restricted diet so that we can afford it. We don't get taxes back like most other families do every year. We don't make much and have to claim tax exempt in order to get through. How much of the CLO is too much? How much is enough for K? Do you have any articles on the dosing instructions? I have been giving her the CLO one time a day in the morning. Let's see...It says Vit. A 1250 I.U. & Vit. D 130 I.U on the bottle. They are softgels. I just give them a little prick and she sucks the juice out of them til she can't get no more. I worry about overdosing her or not giving her enough to get the benefits. I asked for your home address so I can try to send you the $ for the class again. Thanks. Jenn L Vitamin D is the one you get from the sun. Vitamin only from Cod Liver oil in the form that is needed (other foods have carotene, but best to have from Cod Liver Oil) There is no way to know if he didn't biopsy or take a specimen But he said her gut looked OK. Still recommend homeopathy as you cannot possibly figure out all the pieces and don't need to. Guest guest
Jenn, I don't mean to take the wind out of your sails in your quest to find the cause of K's autism or the cause of her current symptoms, but even if the doctor was able to tell you she has the measles virus in her gut, the next step will be to prescribe drugs for her, namely anti-inflamatory drugs that are immunosuppressants. By taking this route, you will be putting yourself in an awkward position with the doctors who really don't have the answers your looking for. A good homeopath to look closely at her symptoms and prescribe the right remedy is the only way to healing. Of course all the wonderful immune support and healthy foods you give her will help tremendously. Do you see what I mean Jenn? Guest guest
Hi Jenn, I sometimes wonder if a teaspoon a day of CLO is enough for Henry. Maybe we should call the manufacturers and find out if there is a different dose for autistic children. Nordic Naturals has an expert, only she never replied to an email I sent about a different matter. Ths gals on the phone taking orders have limited knowledge. Let me know if you find out about different dosing for them. Guest guest
I'm just trying to find out what's wrong so we can fix it. And, the article did spark my interest a little bit. I don't really care for the reason unless it is still doing damage. I do know that through dietary interventions and supplements she does seem to be doing much better. I have been there done that with docs telling them that I want to know what ALL of our options are before treating anything we find. In my mind, I am geared more towards HP than allopathic medicine. I have let things go naturally lately, but not nearly as much as I should have when she was younger. I have been learning more everyday about how to help her but, I've noticed that I need patience and faith the most. It took a few years to find out how sick she was and that still hasn';t been totally covered as I do not feel every little thing should be dealt with. I am not looking for a miracle cure, as that can only happen if our higher power decides that will be her fate. But, I am making her feel better overall with the interventions we have used. I would not use HP for her autistic symptoms yet until I get a chance to try it on myself first, then, try it for something acute for her. Of course it all costs $ and we are farther away from HP help than we are in any other due to the cost. We will be getting kicked off line soon. The cable company really hates it when you don't pay your bill. This PC is the only hope for getting help for Kali. I don't know what we will do without the support and info. and how long we will be without this. Please pray for K. This is the only thing we can do right now. Guest guest
Ok. First, I do believe HP would help Kali tremendously because we have been doing some things right it seems for a short time now already. So, we are already on the bandwagon. There are other areas that I will not address due to my thinking that the body is a WHOLE and if the root cause is addressed correctly then, it can help the person get through all the others much better. Maybe with HP we should say the symptoms that are causing the disturbance? A little backwards in my thinking but, I still do think that way. It takes time, even when you know the truth to mold the way you think to it. It's like an UNbrainwashing process! Guest guest
Do you know how much money it would cost to get Kali started with a homeopath? You need one to address all her problems whether autisitic related or not; they are pervasively intertwined and would be damned near impossible to seperate. Try to look at this as one big picture defined by it's symptoms; no matter what's causing them. If it helps, my son Henry has been under homeopathic care since Christmas and is doing remarkably well. Though we have so very far to go, I know he is well on his way with homeopathy. You have to trust that this is best and all else will fall into place. The cable company really hates it when you don't pay your bill. This PC is the only hope for getting help for Kali. I don't know what we will do without the support and info. and how long we will be without this. Please pray for K. This is the only thing we can do right now. A good homeopath to look closely at her symptoms and prescribe the right remedy is the only way to healing. Of course all the wonderful immune support and healthy foods you give her will help tremendously. Guest guest
I know Jenn. It's the hardest part, but try to find a way to see the symptoms as being an expression of the disturbance. I truely believe that any efforts made to appease the symptoms alone only prolongs and worsens the disturbance.
