Guest guest
Hello karenqueenie, Now I on my part know practically nothing about medicine. But I've heard of Dr Hamer's New Medicine (Neue Medizin, in German), and have just started reading a book on it. Some people whom I trust are saying it's correct, and, as far as I can see now, much speaks in favour of it - a theory radically different from " the established " one. That theory first of all says you're quite right in being desperate to avoid surgery. It says that surgery indeed would be quite harmful. Further, according to that theory, your baby's cyst is due to some conflict or other, and constitutes the body's natural reply to that conflict, a repair mechanism. So far, I'm certain I've understood correctly what that theory says. Then what to do? As far as I understand, you can expect the cyst to go away by itself, after a while. The " trick " of Dr Hamer's in healing, for adults etc, is to make the person in question aware of what conflict it was that caused the particular repair mechanism. There are some rules about what conflicts cause what repair mechanisms. In the case of your infant daughter, clearly you cannot make her understand the matter quite directly. My guess then is, that one thing to do at least is give her lots of mother's care. And also, avoid the traditional doctors (as you're probably already doing) - there's a risk that they will try to press you into accepting surgery. This is only some layman's attempted advice of course. In English, there's one website I know of which presents Dr Hamer's general theory: http://www.newmedicine.ca/ Hoping for the best for your daughter, Rolf M. Guest guest
Did they call it anything? Could it be a hemangioma? (I'll check the spelling on that). My neighbor's son has one and though it grew quite large for a while, the doctor said they typically max out and then begin to decrease. This has been true for her son. His is on the chin. See if you can google a photo. Anita karenqueenie <PeppleFamily@...> wrote: I have a 7 week old baby girl (born at home-11lbs!). Guest guest
Hi , My baby had a lump of similar description from birth. To me it felt hard like bone, and didn't move. I chose to just let it be, as it wasn't growing or anything. Anyway, one day it just vanished. I am assuming it was just some kind of calcium growth. Anyway, I know that it is different to your situation. But, I have no doubt you will find many alternative solutions here. In my situation, I mostly went on my instincts though. I guess I kind of knew it would just go away. If it had grown though things may have been different. By the time I post this, I am sure there will have been heaps of help. Way behind on emails these days. Fieldman karenqueenie <PeppleFamily@...> wrote: I have a 7 week old baby girl (born at home-11lbs!). Guest guest
I have a friend who had a baby who did not have a noticable bump at birth but by two months had a not on his head that was growing and it turned out to be some kind of bone cancer. The hopital sent him home to die because they didn't think there was anything that could be done, but the family searched the US till they found a doctor that would take care of him. He had only performed 2 surgeries on this before and all were older babies. Everything went well and he is almost 2 yrs old. So, anyway, there is always the possibility that it could be something more serious. But then again, it may be nothing. Just thought I would share that story. Guest guest
Sorry, I should've included that in my first e-mail. I am in Crystal Lake IL which is about 50 minutes out of Chicago. I did notice a classical homeopath about 2 miles from my house but I do not know if he is good or not or how I would even tell. My thinking is this is related to the very stressful pregnancy I had. (was involved in a long custody battle with exhusband) She also had water on her kidneys while in utero (haven't retested to see if its still there). Of course her ped doesn't think any of this is related but I feel it is. Not that I know for sure of course... > > I have a 7 week old baby girl (born at home-11lbs!). Guest guest
Tara, I was thinking the same thing. I think it might be best to find out WHAT you're dealing with and then decide how you want to handle it - if at all. Try to find the least invasive way to find out, though, so in case it IS something it's not made to spread. That's what I'd probably do. Just my two cents. Guest guest
Liliana's felt exactly the same way at birth. In fact the midwife and I both thought it was just a little extra bit of bone. It wasn't until it grew (its about 1.5cms in width) and got softer I showed concern. I would really like to know exactly what it is before knowing how to treat it. There is obviously that remote chance it could be something more which bothers me but I also feel if it is something more it would not respond to homeopathy or other alternative choices. The Dr. doesn't want to do the surgery for 7more weeks so it does give me time to feel comfortable with either route we choose. All I know is I do not feel comfortable with the surgery route at this time. > I have a 7 week old baby girl (born at home-11lbs!). Guest guest
Yes, I definately agree. Although I will not allow it to be biopsied so unless its removed there really is not other way to know for certain what it is. She does have a second opinion with another surgeon, but am going to push on with alternative measures during this same time because I do feel it is related to my pregnancy. Her temperment since birth seems to support that she was understress as well. > > Tara, I was thinking the same thing. Guest guest
Well, he isn't on my classical list. I do have 2 excellent homeopaths I can refer you to who do consults by phone (it is hard to find a really good homeopath and that is why I do this) I also maintain a classical homeopath list but haven't been happy with many referrals I've made to people on it http://www.homeopathy-cures.com click on find a homeopath There are 2 others in Chicago area on the list I will send questions to ask them that helps in determining their quality. Guest guest
Amber-- I wrote you privately yesterday...I also live in Crystal Lake and have a three-month old baby. Who is your pediatrician, I am desperately looking for someone local who will respect my feelings about vaccination, and will not try to scare me to death so that I am leaving the office in tears. I also sent you the name of a doctor I heard about in Libertyville--Dr. Elvove. I'm not sure if he is a classical homeopath...but he supposedly combines holistic and alternative medicine with allopathic medicine and he might be able to help you. I found his phone number, feel free to email me off list and I can get it to you. Would love to chat, it would be great to have another mom in the area who feels the same way I do!
