Guest guest
Hello - Sure hope you can give some good advise. Around 3 months we noticed a tilt to the right as well as a flat stop on the right side of our daughters head. She was fit with a helmet at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN when she was 4 months old. Has been out of a helmet since January. Great results, not perfect. She is now 14 months old, and I am still noticing a tilt (good ROM) and that the right side of her face is slightly more predominant than the left (You notice it most when she is looking in the mirror. We have an appointment with her doctor again next week. I'm wondering if anyone has had their child graduate from their helmet (Please note, this is not a DOC band, Mayo has an OT who makes these cute little custom fit helmets. Reminds me of a bike helmet) and then started again. Or if you can recommend treatment for the facial problems I'm noticing. Her forehead and cheek are a little more predominant on the right side. I just don't want to miss our window of opportunity to correct this before it is to late. I'm looking for any good advise, suggestions, experiences, etc... so I am prepared for our next visit. Not sure if I will be satisfied with the doctors response if he tells us everything looks OK. I'm just being a concerned mom. Thanks
