Guest guest
Massimo, anxiety (and also depression) are very often indeed relaated to systemic fungal (typically canida) situations -- which can disrupt everything, including the HPA axis, which of course means the brain, disrupting neurotranmitter function, resulting often in anxiety. And many report that once the candida or other fungal infection is finally under control, the anxiety goes away. I noticed this myself -- briefly -- about 3 1/2 years ago -- when I took threelac and also custom probiotics for a couple months. I felt like I could stop my klonopin cold turkey, which one should never do. Unfortunately, I ran out of $$ -- that three-lac is EXPENSIVE -- and haven't been able to do it again for a decent period of time (like 6 months+). I too had anxiety for about 17 years before I developed gradual onset CFIDS. In hindsight, I believe my gut bacteria was destroyed or altered by both antibiotics taken for acne in high school, plus later several times a year for sinus infections -- for about 10 years. Ironically, I stopped having sinus infections once I stopped relyling on ABX's, although I 've had a realy low grade one for years now, which I believe is fungal and bacterial. Long story short: I say there's always a reason for everything, so my answer would be endogenous. Dan > > I lived with extreme stress for some years.
