Guest guest
Does anyone know of any other place you can go to get tested with the same echo/impedence machine and same protocols for testing to determine if you have diastolic dysfunction? There has to be others using the new machines and using the same type of testing that Cheney uses, supine, head up tilt, E/A ratio, e/a ratio, D/S ratio, etc. Cheney even says in his video that his testing parameters for diastolic dysfunction are taken from the literature. I want to be tested but of course cannot get in to see Cheney. Pointer

Cardio-Dynamics who make an ICG machine only trains their doctor- customers using the lying down method, this is referred to as the " Testing Algorithym " . They don't know how to test with the machine standing up ! Al
Guest guest
Do you live in the UK? If you live in London, the Royal Brompton Hospital is quite good but I have not discussed Cheney with any of the docs there. Also, could you tell where to find the protocol as described by Cheney? Thanks Chantal > > Does anyone know of any other place you can go to get tested with the > same echo/impedence machine and same protocols for testing to > determine if you have diastolic dysfunction? Guest guest
Hey Colin. Well, the same thing that happened to you happened to me way back in 1994 using a stress echo. My ejection fraction was low, below normal, but not low enough to get anyone concerned. I realized EF is different than the number of liters being ejected/min. But I think you have to be dying before a cardiologist becomes concerned. My question is, what would the docs have done had they all agreed that, " yes, your heart is not ejecting enough liters/min " . I mean, that is what Cheney is finding, and look at his protocol- no heart medication, just a lot of other stuff. Thanks, Mike C > > > > > > Does anyone know of any other place you can go to get tested with > > the > > > same echo/impedence machine and same protocols for testing to > > > determine if you have diastolic dysfunction? > > > Pointer > > > > > The problem I encountered when trying to find doctors in my area who > > do ICG " Impedance Cardiography testing is you have to use the > > Peckerman Protocol which involves lying down and standing up. > > Cardio-Dynamics who make an ICG machine only trains their doctor- > > customers using the lying down method, this is referred to as > > the " Testing Algorithym " . Guest guest
Yes Steve, agreed. What I was getting at was that Cheney's treatment is something that a cardiologist, who is unfamiliar w/ Cheney's treatment plan, is unlikely to prescribe. They usually use the standard heart failure presciption drugs. Mike C Hey Colin. Well, the same thing that happened to you happened to me > way back in 1994 using a stress echo. Guest guest
MJH-I am surprised he would even give you a non-pharmecutical option! What was your diagnosis (relating to your heart)at the time. Guest guest
steve B Keats publications has a cheap booklet on Mitral Valve Prolapse. Might help you to get this and read it. Meanwhile, chug-a-lug Milk of Magnesia, small doses several times a day... mjh .. I was on Tenormin/atenolol for years to help alleviate my mitral valve prolapse and did not notice any change when I discontinued it. Steve B.
