As far as the licorace, doesn't it raise your blood pressure? Doesn't

DGL licorace lack the ingredient that raises your blood pressure, but

still help fatigue? Thank you!

Licorice root supports adrenals and is antiviral. Taken excessively, it can

raise blood pressure, but for me that is a good thing. Dr Baschetti uses it

in his successful CFS protocol.

DGL helps with digestive issues only. Doesn't affect fatigue.

You are confusing licorice root and DGL.

DGL does not raise blood pressure, it helps the gut only.

Hey Sue -

DGL raises blood pressure if you have a tendency for high blood pressure,

but I, like many other CFS'ers have low blood pressure. Not a problem for me to

take. I've heard that DGL won't do much for adrenal fatigue, but again, just

what I heard.

I use DGL licorice for digestion sometimes. Never noticed a boost.

No, DGL (deglycyrrhizinated licorice) is deglycyrrhizinated precisely so that it

WON't cause a rise in BP.

Some researcher said that if you have high BP, then you don't have

CFS-maybe Cheney but not sure. So regular Licorice should be OK

for most of us. I am one of the few w/ 6 different 'CFS' diagnoses

who has/had high BP, but I found regular licorice (Biasatti brand)

to initially make me feel much better.
