Guest guest
Hi, Janet. Good job! Besides so many studies showing PWCs low in magnesium, depletion of glutathione and magnesium go hand in hand. Chelation therapies also deplete magnesium like nothing else, it actually doesn't get chelated itself but appears to be absolutely necessary for key enzymatic reactions to happen in the process so it gets used up really fast. jgstev716@...> wrote: > > HI All, > > I just want to put this out there. Guest guest
I got leg and feet pain with Parvovirus (human b19?) Gingko relives it. > > HI All, > > I just want to put this out there. Guest guest
Janet As I've posted before, I take small doses of Milk of Magnesia several times a day with NO loose bowels. Malic acid/Mg malate from apples is known to increase ATP. Mg Chloride can be used topically. See my previous posts. Eat 85% chocolate and millet... mjh Posted by: " Janet s " _jgstev716@... _ (mailto:jgstev716@...?Subject= Re:%20Magnesium%20and%20pain) _alwaysacutie2u _ (alwaysacutie2u) Mon Jan 1, 2007 7:11 pm (PST) HI , And it also helps make ATP!!!!!! Now I am wondering how to get enough in without causing the distressing symptom of loose bowels. Do you or does anyone know of a cream without sulfate to use. Or will the sulfate hurt me if I am CBS +/+?? Any other magnesium in a form that will bypass the gut??? All the best, Janet
Guest guest
Bob Years ago, my body needed 1 tsp of MoM three to four times a day. 1 tsp = 400 mg Mg. Now, it needs about 1/2 tsp three times a day. Too much sugar in apples for nme to use apples as a source of Mg malate,
Guest guest
I started with magnesium glycinate yesterday and it gave me terrible terrible heartburn. I had to take Nexium straight away after it. I had tried other forms of oral mag and all gave me heartburn but was hoping that glycinate would be gentler. I took Kirkman Labs Buffered Magnesium Glycinate, the hypoallergenic one; 200mg in afternoon and 200 more at night; both times with food so as to lessen stomach upset. I don't understand: buffered is meant to lessen stomach upset, right? But this is buffered with citric acid, adipic acid & ascorbic acid. Wouldn't all these acids actually make heartburn worse? I don't know if I should continue with this whilst taking something for heartburn at same time. a > > I take magnesium glycinate as it does not effect my gut and I understand that this is the most absorbable way of taking magnesium other than via injection. > Adam
Guest guest
Thank you for this information Adam. I have stopped with the magnesium though I may give it another go in the near future. Cheers, a > > Hi I am sorry that magnesium glycinate has effected you this way. The supplement I take is produced by " Nutri " which contains magnesium 220mg, glycinate 120mg, lysinate 80mg, aspartate 20mg. > > Regards > Adam
Guest guest
Massimo, Thanks plenty for the input. In fact, I'd much rather be taking injectable magnesium but I don't have access to it either with or without added taurine. This is something I've been wanting to try for quite a while but unless it starts being sold over the internet (don't I wish!) I don't see it happening. Here there is v. limited choice in magnesium. Over the counter types sold in pharmacies are always liquid (Magnoral, Magnesona, etc) and not only do they give me the worst heatburn they are absolutely LOADED with sugar! It's so disgustingly sweet. There's also powered form to mix with water but v. v. sweet and acidic too. None are glycinates either and at health food stores while you're able to get oral magnesium in pill form, it's never chelated to glycine either. Yes, we all react so very very differently. Would be much easier if we didn't. Guest guest
I noticed a definite increase in energy after a bath with Epsom Salts long before I was able to get tested for Mg which did show to be very low. -a > > > > I take magnesium glycinate as it does not effect my gut and I > understand that this is the most absorbable way of taking magnesium > other than via injection. > > Adam >
