Guest guest
....at least not in all cases. I think we need to be really careful when we're writing these posts, as some may take one's words as fact, when indeed there are many shades of grey involved. Sure, if one has too much calcium, it may -- emphasize MAY -- excite the nervous system and be considere an " excitotoxin " . But what if one is low in calcium, what if one has osteopenia or osteoporosis, as many on this board may have? Then calcium is essential, and certainly not a toxin. Some say calcium is a relaxant, others say it speeds up contractions. I've read that if one has a really slow heartbeat, that can be a sign of low calcium. I myself have had a very slow heartbeat for 10 years -- it wasn't until I added more calcium that my heartbeat is more normal, and my teeth are not so loose. Of course there are many other minerals and proteins (and vitamins like d and especially the long-forgotten but critical vitamin K) that help regulate calcium levels...so the heartbeat abnormaltles may have another cause. Even glutamate or glutamic acid -- for most people, maybe not PWC's -- is not an excitotoxin. It's in fact the main amino acid in most foods... Anyway, with all due sincere respect...I hope we'll all -- including myself -- try to be a little more careful with our choice of wording. Guest guest
Thanks for the clarification -- I think it helps when you tell people in your post that your calcium was or is high. Then of course it may be too excitory for you...but it may help others who have lower calcium. The vitamin K should help a lot, from what I've read. Thanks d. > > > Well Dan, > This was in regard to being on the Yasko program. > I thought it was presumed it was not relevant to those not on it. > It is really interrelated with your Nutrigenomic Gene test results & the > whole of the Yasko program.
