Yes, here is a great example of the strange " Disconnect " between all the doctors and treatments claiming " miraculous cures for CFS " with mere vitamins and conventional therapies - while Dr Cheney and Dr scarcely seem to help their type of " CFS " patients much more than 20-30% with the most aggressive and innovative therapies, some of which are experimental and not even available to almost all doctors. It's hard to tell if the doctors and purveyors making these claims are genuinely confused, are totally lost in their own version of reality, or just prop up their beliefs by being able to help a few minor cases of " fatigue " while conveniently ignoring all the persistent complainers who mysteriously just abandoned their practice: " Probably recovered by my therapy, or they would reschedule for another appointment, wouldn't they? " I realize that a better name would facilitate communication, and I earnestly hope that we soon have a better one, but in the meantime, is there any way to say to a doctor or researcher " You are not describing or understanding my illness " without having them become completely unreceptive to your presentation of exclusionary evidence? -
Guest guest
Hmm, so: If it makes you feel real good, its probably bad for you, and if it's good for you, it will take years before it makes you feel good. Great. Ginger peachy! Of course I have no idea how long I may live, but you know how everything seems to accelerate as you age? (Really it is you slowing down.) Well I am 68 and man, time is passing at warp speed and the rate of acceleration just keeps increasing as well. If that is any indicator...I am inclined to vote for feeling good now. At least I am getting something- a little, anyhow, out of life. " Course, nothing says I can't try both, just in case. I am sure glad I have been messing with my neurotransmitters, in any case. So nice to have a good part of my mind back. Been doing it a year now, and it just keeps getting better. Hearing the YAsko people talking about using " sprinkles " of this or that clued me in on how to titrate the stuff I am using. (Products from Neurosciencinc.com) Adrienne Ian - notes taken while watching Cheney dvd Ian, Below are some notes I took while watching Cheney dvd. Hope this helps. First, the list of stuff in the same order he exhibited it (I think). B12 hydroxycobalamin 10,000 mcg/day Klonopin/doxepin SL/Omega 3 EFA's Garlic or Chlorella/Silymarin Isoprinosine and C0Q10 Vy. low-dose magnesium subcutaneous 0.10 cc every 6 hours? Kirkman Mag. Sulfate cream but have to apply every hour to get full benefit (i use few times a day) Nexavir 1-2 cc to skin QD Hawthorne leaf and flower 3 BID or 1-2 2x/day (I upped my dose to 2 capsules 3x a day. I haven't been able to get brand he uses which i think is Mediherb but think the Natures Way hawthorne leaf and flower in purple bottle found at most health food stores is similar. Cheney says some get GI upset at higher doses) D-Ribose (1 scoop TID)(1/3 including myself cannot tolerate this stuff) Porcine low molecular weight heart cell signaling factors - only available to his trial patients now but Atrium scientist told me it could be available to public mid-2007 at earliest but more likely late 2007) Going to altitude of 7000 feet could cause some to have strokes 2%/yr. stroke rate for those with PFO; 4-5%/yr. if one has already had stroke (I've had 2) low dose oxygen improves cardiac function in some but too much increases free radical activity Young, elastic hearts can compensate for diastolic dysfunction in some D-Ribose or Immunepro/whey better than NADH on cost benefit basis Nexavir very potent antiviral as well as beneficial for heart NAC does not influence type of glutathione we're deficient in (may have negative affect) CFS is energy deficit = low cardiac output, reduced metabolic rate, reduced thyroid. If you treat energy deficit thyroid improves CFSers w/ IL-10 polymorphism may benefit from Cortef supplementation Any CFS treatment that makes you feel better quickly is probably just addressing symptoms rather than disease itself and may be harmful in long run. PFO is hole in heart, 80% CFSers have it vs. 20% of general population. Must underutilize oxygen to prolong life in CFS Even if cardiac output normalized instantly it will take years to re-adapt to higher output. Gene problem stands in way of recovery Best protection is to limit oxygen transfer into cells CFSers appear to be like fecultative anerobes and attract fecultative anerobes - candida, chlymydia, lyme, all of these thrive in low oxygen environment which we provide for them Our hearts are 1/2 second out of sync " LV Asynchrony " which severely degrades cardiac output Hyperbaric oxygen treatment potentially dangerous as is too much oxygen while having operation Nexavir + Hawthorne treatment in group of his patients resulted in 30% increase in impedence stroke volume (microcirculation) and 10% increase in echo stroke volume (macrocirculation) after 90 days. Guest guest
Adrienne, Is it neurosciencinc.com or neuroscienceinc.com? Also, what is your mix of aminos - what aminos and ratios? And is it only the aminos that have brought back your cognitive function? I know our cognitive dysfunction can be eliminated even with low cardiac output because upon injection of the German product Regeneressen a couple years ago my cognitive function returned to normal for about 5-6 weeks. I felt like a genius and only then realized the full extent of the brain function I had lost. I was afraid to inject another vial of their Bindegewebbe product because one of it's components was cow brain and one man who had taken it for years died of vCJD. I think if this product can do it then other less dangerous ones can probably bring about the same affect as you have experienced. Steve B. " Adrienne G. Guest guest
Bullock asked; Adrienne, Is it neurosciencinc.com or neuroscienceinc.com? ***The latter. Also, what is your mix of aminos - what aminos and ratios? ***Excuse me, but the print is so small on the labels, even w. a magnifier I have trouble, but you can get that from their site. I take two prods. Travacor at night, and ExcitaPlus in A.M. I also use tryptophan at night. I was on DL-phenylalanine for 20-some years or so, and recently got off thanks to the Excitaplus and it was a tremendous relief. I really felt the DLPA burning my brain for years but could not get off. If I had had the Yasko concept of just a sprinkle, maybe I could've made the DLPA work, too.Although not perfect, brain recovery is such that I am just enjoying the heck out of being able to THINK! Up to certain point anyhow, I am just relishing problem-solving: ahh, the power!! And is it only the aminos that have brought back your cognitive function? ***No, the b12 injections, several years-worth, now, have meant a lot and I continue with those, but after a couple of years there was a plateau, and the aminos have meant a tremendous boost above that level. It is interesting, the synergy; the aminos facilitate my ability and willingness to take the b daily. I am also using a cocktail in the afternoon of St. s, eleuthero, and pituitary extract. I am not sure the latter affects my cognition, but it does help with strength, (NOT " energy " ), The St s takes care of the depression, which also decreases cognition, and the eleuthero really does seem to have a balancing effect- as it is supposed to. It was one of my doc's better inspirations. I know our cognitive dysfunction can be eliminated even with low cardiac output because upon injection of the German product Regeneressen a couple years ago my cognitive function returned to normal for about 5-6 weeks. I felt like a genius and only then realized the full extent of the brain function I had lost. ***I hear you! I feel like a genius, too, but at the same time, I know my brain still is weird. Just so much better. I was afraid to inject another vial of their Bindegewebbe product because one of it's components was cow brain and one man who had taken it for years died of vCJD. I think if this product can do it then other less dangerous ones can probably bring about the same affect as you have experienced. Steve B. ***Wow. Was that his only source of bovine tissue? The pituitrophin I am using is bovine, I think. I am comfortable with a high level of risk- especially if it is death I am risking and not increased misery, lol. Peace, Adienne " Adrienne G.
