Lyrica/Cymbalta?

Hello all,

After months of drifting in what feels like no mans land, this

afternoon I was finally diagnosed with FM. The doctor wants to do a

trial of Lyrica, and if that doesn't help, Cymbalta. I'd love to hear

of anyone's experiences with these meds.

I was given Lyrica recently due to severe nerve pain and nerve damage

in my vestibular nerves. The pain was in my jaw, ear, and head. The

Lyrica worked no better than aspirin, and I developed severe back pain

while on it. Within a few hours of stopping it the back pain cleared

up, only to return when I started the Lyrica again.

My opinion, based on my experience is that cfs an fms are infectious

diseases, in most cases Lyme disease, but not all. Get tested at

IgeneX for borrelia and find a Lyme literate doctor in California.

There are some. You can write me off list if you want a few names.

BTW the side effect list for Lyrica includes muscle pain, and I seem

to get this side effect with any drug that lists it as a risk.
