Guest guest
Congradulations! I wish mine would come into contact with it as well. I have a hunch, my vaccinated child ( he got CP vaccine ) would get it first and be sicker compared to my unvaxxed child. Care to send us anything contamainated, such as a plastic spoon or whatever you can think of? April We've got the pox!!! I noticed a bump on my three year old's chest yesterday and thought nothing of it. Today, my mother in law called to tell my husband that he had a bunch of red spots with blisters. When he got home, I noticed that he had a couple on his chest, back, underarms, groin and butt. I then checked his head and found one. I gave him a warm bath and more popped out, he now has three on his head! He has some new ones coming out on his arms and face. We weren't expecting this, but are pretty happy about it! -- Sara Proud Mama to Colin 12/07/99 Jack 8/07/
Guest guest
We tried the " send a contaminated article through the mail " thing and it didn't work. Worth another try, though! Guest guest
I am in Michigan. I checked him this morning and there are a few more, he is just starting to feel a tad warm, so there will probably be more soon. He now has two on his face and a few more on his little butt. I am certain that it is chicken pox now, the blisters are very obvious. I am hoping that he doesn't have that bad of a case. My older son had them when he was two and he had a really bad case of them, he was vaccinated, so that is probably why. -- Sara Proud Mama to Colin 12/07/99 Jack 8/07/02 --------- We've got the pox!!! > > > I noticed a bump on my three year old's chest yesterday and thought > nothing of it. Guest guest
I was wondering the same thing since my kids have not had them yet, I can't seem to find anyone in my area willing to help wings <wingsout@...> wrote: Congradulations! Guest guest
The chickenpox vaccine should be banned! I have a friend her daughter has had several mini cases of pox cuz of the vaccine. Guest guest
I worded that the wrong way. My older son didn't have the chickenpox vaccine, but he had others, up until he was " supposed " to get the MMR and chickenpox vaccines. -- Sara Proud Mama to Colin 12/07/99 Jack 8/07/02 --------- We've got the pox!!! > > > I noticed a bump on my three year old's chest yesterday and thought > nothing of it. Guest guest
My older son got them at a chicken pox party, the little girl had gotten them from someone with shingles. I have no clue as to where Jack got them! So far it seems to be a fairly mild case, he hasn't had much of a fever yet, so I am hoping that he doesn't get too miserable, yet, he has enough of it for immunity. -- Sara Proud Mama to Colin 12/07/99 Jack 8/07/02 --------- We've got the pox!!! Guest guest
I don't mind sending you something, but I don't think that it would work. I think that I read somewhere that the virus could only " live " for so long outside the human body. I can't remember where I read that, but there were some people worried about that in the group that I was in. -- Sara Proud Mama to Colin 12/07/99 Jack 8/07/02 --------- We've got the pox!!! Guest guest
A friend of mine was sent a t-shirt from a child that had chickenpox. The shirt was sent through the mail (enclosed in a zip-loc bag) during the New Year mail holiday. After 5 days my friend received it; her child wore it and came down with the pox in exactly 2 weeks! If you go to vaclib.org to the mississippi chapter you will get my address I will e-mail it to you later privately. If you have an old shirt or something that you dont need or anything you can think of. I have a 4 yr old and a 8 yr old. I will pay you for your time and expense. April We've got the pox!!! Guest guest
That is fine. Do you want something worn or something like a spoon? Does anyone else want to try? Now, the other thing, I am not sure what " kind " of chicken pox he has, meaning, I don't know if it is a wild strain or something from a kid vaccinated with the chicken pox vaccine, since I don't know where he got it. -- Sara Proud Mama to Colin 12/07/99 Jack 8/07/02 --------- We've got the pox!!! Guest guest
Something worn is good if you have an old shirt or something, perhaps a plastic spoon. Hey, I am open to anything that might work. April That is fine. Do you want something worn or something like a spoon? Any clothing doesnt have to fit and in fact most kids like things that are too big, mine anyway. In my daughters case, she wears big brothers clothes and 12 month old stuff , for fun only. Does anyone else want to try? April Howell PO Box 344 ville, MS 38870

Guest guest
Cyndy - sounds like the germs traveled nicely in a ziplock bag. This is the first success story I have heard of. Personally I would be reluctant to try this as one can never truely know how or where the strain originated. Diseases are something I choose to leave in God's hands...but, to each his own. Guest guest
As I have mentioned before, we did this with a cloth diaper that was just used as a towel/cloth of sorts. It, too, was in a baggy before being mailed to us. My child immediately stuck it in her mouth and played with it for the rest of that day. Evidently, she wasn't susceptible at that time! Sheri B.
