Polio Interview on The Diane Rehm Show (NPR in the US)

I only caught part of this as I was in the car with no kids (and the world

didn't come to an end!) for a few minutes.

This gentleman had polio as a child and is very pro-vaccine, but there was

some interesting conversation on here. I might try to listen to all of it but

if someone gets to it before I do, let me know if anyone asked about the Simian

virus or the recent Amish outbreak, or whether or not he thought it was indeed a

virus at all. They never give the phone numbers when you want them! I was

dying to call in.

The man did concede that America " overly celebrated " the vaccine to the point

of not doing enough studies on polio since that point. I don't think he doubts

one bit from his side that it is indeed a virus, though.
