Guest guest
Hope it's ok to repost this - will definatly have a look for the book! Sorry I was very non-specific wasn't I! Fred Klenner mentions about ascorbic acid being used as a contraceptive when used vaginally. The success rate is about the same as the contraceptive pill acording to the studies he referanced anyway. I will try to look it up later, I think the required " does " is mentioned in the book - my books are all over the place currently but i should be able to find it. Half lemons were used by ancient Egyption women as contraception - sort of like a diaphram but also the acidity (as with ascorbic acid) kills sperm. A more recent study confirmed this http://www.aegis.com/news/dmg/2002/MG021006.html ~ Jowanna. > > Jowana, > Hi, just curious, what do you mean about vitamin C and lemon juice? Guest guest
Lol - something is going right for me today anyway - I found it. >>>Quote: As a contraceptive vitamin C was proven 96% effective! The research work was done in Ukrania by some 300 women over a period of 2 years starting in 1965. C tablets of 200mgs were utilised. All details of it's application were not published. But it seems obvious that the tablet is inserted some ten minutes before marital relations into her vagina. Your doctor probably can fill you in with additional details. Because of the nearly complete freedom from all side effects the Institute for the protection of Mother ans Child has recomended utilizing C as a standard contraceptive. C is very acid, on the scale where water is 7, C rates a very acid pH of 2.5 in a 1% solution. Test solutions from 1% to 5% of C " rapidly and irreversibly paralyzed the movement of human and rat spermatozoa. " because of the availability of 250mg. and 500mg. tablets in the states their use may offer better protection than the smaller tablet. End of article.<<< Jowannas notes: - I dunno about my doctor being able to fill me in with additional details, ha! I did actually try this a few times and always had the problem of the tablets not desolving! Maybe some brands are better than others though... possibly pre-mixing a solution of powder & water and using something simular to a turkey baster for application would do the trick, hmm could be too runny without meaning to get graphic here, but anyway I have never tried because over the years I have found that all but 1 of my boyfriends have been thought the idea sounded totally crazy! ~ Jowanna. > >> > >> Jowana, > >> Hi, just curious, what do you mean about vitamin C and lemon juice? > >Are you saying that they can cause menstruation to cease if taken?
