Guest guest
What is the average length of wearing the helmet? > Celeste: Average treatment time in a band is 4.5 mos.. Of course this varies on the child's age & growth spurts. My daughter wore her DOCband made by Cranial Technologies 4.5 mos.. But I have heard of children " graduating " from their band in as short as 6 wks (started at a younger age) and others being in bands for 8+ mos.. With your daughter being considered a big " older " for treatment to begin, I would say she'd most likely be in a helmet/band no less than 4 mos time, but again, that varies. Good luck at the neurosurgeon's today, please let us know how it goes & what he suggests. Debbie Abby's mom DOCgrad MI

Guest guest
Hi Kelli: Good to finally hear from you again . Abby's exit casting was done 6/22/01, I got her exit mold mailed back to me on 8/11/01, so it took a good 6 wks or so. I remember the date so well, because I had a dreaded dentist appt that same day we rec'd it back! You can call to ask when you'll be getting it back - I know they won't mind - I called them asking about Abby's too. Abby is a huge pain wanting to go " ouside " (she leaves out the T) constantly too! It's sooooo frustrating. And the great Michigan weather is soooo stinking cold & windy this whole month of March! A lot of the time, I'll leave our front door open so she can look ouside, that seems to keep her happy for a few mins anyway. When we let our dog out too, she tries making a mad dash out the door. Then we carry her back in kicking & screaming! Welcome to the terrible 2's early Kelli! I doubt Em's head has regressed any! Don't worry about it & stop obsessing Debbie Abby's mom DOCGrad MI > PS...
