Guest guest
some prominence of the subarachnoid space over the frontal converities along the interhemispheric fissure. ~ the subarachnoid space is below or under the arachnoid membrane that covers the brain and spinal cord. the frontal converities might refer to the forehead or front part of the skull. Brachycephaly ~ a condition that can be both cranio or plagio...the head is flat from the profile and sometimes grows tall also appears wide from the back(my daughter was brachy) He is not sure if this is related to Burst related trauma. What is that? ~can't figure out what the burst related trauma would mean....closest I can come to is the bursa is a padlicke sac or cavity found in connective tissue. Which might be referring to the cranial sutures since those are held together with connective tissue. Don't know what the heck they mean by trauma to that tho...sorry *shrug* I talked to her pediatrician on the phone the other day and he said that her sutures are completely fused together basically. I hope she does not have to have surgery but, I will find out on March 6. ~I don't want to scare you but if the sutures are indeed fused the only treatment will be surgery. Are you seeing a craniofacial specialtist or at least a neuro on March 6th? You're peditrician just told you the sutures are fused and didn't ellaborate further?! I hope you will check out CAPPS. also feel free to email me @ MMALFAM@.... I can try to help as much as humanly possible. Definatly gear yourself for finding out surgery will be needed but also do not give up on hoping for the best. I hope you are told that the sutures are open but it is always best to prepare to hear that they are not. Also ask lots of questions and check into all the litrature that you can. I would love to see pictures of your little one if you have anyway of getting them online. GIANT HUGS!!! HOPE FOR THE BEST!!!!
