It is Time to Pull the Plug on the " Experiment " of

Universal Hepatitis B Vaccination in the United States.

This essay is being written because of concerns about the welfare of our

children. We feel that they are being given at birth, a potentially

dangerous vaccine which many may not need.

Dr. Waisbren's interest in the occurrence of autoimmune disease after viral

vaccination began in 1980 when he observed six patients who developed

multiple sclerosis (MS) after being given the swine flu vaccination in

1976.1 He then observed this to happen in five patients who were given

hepatitis B vaccinations.2 It took years before he could get this

observation published. By that time it was confirmed by a Belgium

investigator, Herroelen.3 Since then, by even a cursory review of the

published literature, we have found 198 articles, by 733 authors, in 111

peer reviewed journals from 21 different counties that reported adverse

event that followed hepatitis B vaccination. The majority of these

articles report the occurrence of autoimmune reactions.

In spite of this wealth of clinical observations, the last summary article

about hepatitis B vaccine which came from the CDC, failed to mention the

potential toxicity of this vaccine.4 Furthermore, the CDC and the FDA

still deny that autoimmunity occurs after hepatitis B vaccine on the basis

of two articles in " peer reviewed " journals that can be considered to be

underpowered statistically and possibly influenced by conflicts of interest

of the authors.5-6 These articles are discussed in the " commentary "

available on this website.

In 2004, Hernan, using statistics that were based on adequate databases,

showed convincingly that a person receiving the hepatitis B vaccination had

a three-fold increase in the chance of getting MS.7 In spite of this

convincing study, the government has not backed away from its support of

universal hepatitis B vaccination. In addition, articles have appeared

from university centers that denigrate Hernan's article.8

In 1996, Dr. Waisbren wrote the article, " Universal hepatitis B

Vaccination: Is it a Sword of Damocles Hanging Over the Head of the

American People? " , also available on this website. Through a series of

coincidences and an awakening of national concern about hepatitis B

vaccine, this essay came to the attention of Mica, a Congressman from

Florida. He invited Dr. Waisbren to appear before a committee of Congress

to present his concerns.
