Guest guest
Sorry again, here is the article: Ingrid Breastfeeding Miracle - Lion, 's mother The discovery of our son’s autism, is similar to the hundreds of parents' accounts I've read. We have video documentation of our boy, , singing and dancing, who slowly regressed to his own little world. I was pregnant with our second child at the time of 's change. The most disturbing behaviour was the slamming of his head on the hardwood floors, pushing his eyeballs back in his sockets and an obsessive-compulsive style need to move objects past his eyes. I was told by our doctor that it was a stage he was going through, and not to worry till after two years of age. We didn't even think of autism - till we read an article in Parents Magazine by Sorrousi. She had cured her son's autism through diet, and we immediately tried the diet before had a medical diagnosis. It was a good thing we started the diet when we did, because the waiting list to see a neuropsychologist was 7-9 months long. We were willing to try this casein/gluten-free dirt because it is safe. There were no experimental drugs involved . We only had to cut out all foods containing milk, wheat, barley, oats, malt, foodstarch, etc. I say that as though it was easy, but with the results, we see the need to maintain this diet. His improvement was dramatic He was soon sleeping through the night and playing with me. We were hoping that this diet would eventually cure him. Shortly after our was born, was diagnosed by a state neuropsychologist. We thought that his improvement might make it so he would not be considered autistic but they still put him on the spectrum. His level of autism qualified for the State school programme, which starts this autumn. We studied up on multiple treatments from secretin to chelation therapy. We were hesitant to use any experimental drugs that might unknowingly be damaging other systems in the body. I wanted to do more for my son, but without harming him in any way. My husband, Joe, and I would pray for our son's recovery. We discovered a book about a vaccine injury, where Robin and Brad Goffe cured their son's damaged immune system, through breastmilk. Robin Goffe, in SCL, Utah, had an autistic son with immune deficiency. He developed severe allergies. He had been through multiple ear infections and multiple cases of orbital cellulitis. All possible antibiotics had already been administered. The Goffes were informed at the hospital, that if he were to get one more infection, they would have no treatment for him. Because his immune system was comparable to an AIDS patient, they knew that one more infection meant death for their son, Ty. Despite their doctor's assurance that worrying would do no good, Brad and Robin immediately began to study medical journals at the local library. As a bop;pgu teacjer. Brad was quite familiar with such research. They took this search to heart, because it was a search to save their son’s life. Using Ty's , blood tests, they began to research the meaning of the results. The first information they searched for, was regarding titre levels. They knew their son had high measles titres, but they had no idea what that really meant. Robin found an article regarding titre levels from vaccinations. After vaccination, a twofold-to fourfold decline in titres normally occurs in the year after vaccination. After the first year, however, the antibody titres remain remarkably stable for the rest of the person's life (Reviews of infectious Diseases Vol. S, No. 3 May-lone 1983 pp596 605). Their son's had not declined in any way, but were rising. On the same day, on a different floor of the medical library, Brad found an experiment done in Germany, where measles vaccine injected in rats caused a slow, silent encephalitis Journal Viral Feb. 1990 p64). When Robin asked him what encephalitis meant, Brad simply replied 'Brain Damage'. They found further studies with ferrets and children showing encephalitis within weeks or months after the measles inoculation (Lab Anim Sci, June 1985 p 35. The Journal of Pediatrics Vol124, No2 pp273-276). They also found a newsletter put out by The World Health Organisation called Immunisation News. It reads, 'about a fifth to one-quarter of the 3 billion doses of vaccines… con’t on page 2 The Autism File 33 used annually in national childhood immunisation programme are of unknown quality, and may or may not be totally safe or effective' (March 1998 No. 6). The article basically admits that up to one in four vaccinations given may not be effective or safe. They knew of parents who believed that their children had declined after their shots. It was sobering to know that they were dealing with brain damage. They were still looking for ways to heal Ty's immune system, but healing brain damage seemed quite a different challenge. Ty's titres had risen from 3.56 to 4.40 in one month. The brain damage became a side issue, next to the pressures of saving their child's life from a simple infection. They studied immunoglobins next. They discovered that IgA (in which their son was deficient) protects the mucosal surfaces: the mouth, nose, throat, gastrointestinal tract, ears, and the eyes. Recurrent infections are an indication of deficient IgAs. Allergies (including asthma) are another occurrence with Selective IgA deficiency. The Goffes had previously allowed Ty gammaglobulin infusion therapy, only to find in their research that Selective IgA deficiency is contradictory to gamma-globulin. They noticed that Ty would improve for about 10 days after the gamma-globulin treatment, but it would end in him becoming ill. After their research, they stopped the therapy. While Robin was in a health store looking for products to boost the immune system, she noticed a product called Collostrum. She remembered her experience with Collostrum after her premature baby was born. She would pump the clear liquid, and the nurse told her that it was the best thing for her baby's immune system. During her next visit to the medical library, she typed in the key words 'breastmilk' and 'immune benefits'. Multiple articles discussed the highest levels of IgA in collostrum, however regular breastmilk contains more IgA than any other known substance (besides the Collostrum). One comparison states that human milk has approximately 50 times the amount of antibodies than hypogammaglobulinemia (Pediatrics Jan. 1985, 75 pp172-176). Unfortunately, if IgA is heated above body temperature, it is destroyed. IgA clings to the surface of mucus of the digestive system and the nose. One study showed an elicitated immune response with injected breastmilk into rabbits contaminated with e-coli. The presence of IgA actually prevents subsequent infection from the same bacteria (Adv. Esp. Med. Biol. 1978, 107 pp461-470). Robin started to pump her own breastmilk, as well as accept donations through the hospital and neighbours. Ty has not since had an infection, or the chronic runny nose he'd had before. The nice side effect of this healthy treatment is that Ty's autism was going away. As I read her book, I wanted to try breastmilk on my son , but I wanted my husband to understand why. I knew I would not be able to explain it as well in a discussion, so I asked him to read the book. He was reluctant, but said he would when he had time. The next day I pumped some milk for my newborn. We had multiple errands to run, and I didn't want to wake her to feed her before we left. While we were out and about, I tried to give her the bottle, and she refused. I stuck it above the head pillow on her car seat, and my husband belted her in next to . As we drove, threw the empty bottle at us. He had snatched it from little . Joe assured me that even if the milk contained casein, in the filtered breastmilk form, it should be okay for this once. I decided to tell him right there about the IgAs, and Robin's research. Our major concern about the breastmilk, is the ingredient casein. We were avoiding it like the plague, since behaved as though he were on hallucinogens whenever any got in his system. We saw no strange behaviour after the one incident, but we still had our fears. We began to pray. We just wanted some answer to tell us if breastmilk would help our son. After weeks of praying, Joe and I spent a couple of hours discussing the milk, and we prayed together. We both felt strongly that it would not hurt our to administer breastmilk, so I began to pump for him. I got in touch with Robin, and she provided frozen breastmilk donations for . Three neighbours began pumping milk for him. liked to drink it straight, but if it tasted funny to him (due to the mother's diet), we'd add a touch of sugar. Our goal was at least 24 oz a day, but hopefully 32 oz a day. Within two weeks, neighbours and relatives were commenting on 's new disposition. He became social, and seemed to feel pain. He stopped hitting his head on the hardwood floor. He began babbling. After three months of breastmilk he is a new child. He still has no proper speech, and likes a bit of eye stimulation, but other than that, the autistic symptoms are gone. He responds to his name. He responds to basic commands. It may not sound like a big deal to many, but we've seen a great improvement - in all categories - over a short period of time. is now two-and-a-half years old. He has never had any therapy, of any kind. His only treatment has been dietary. From the other stories I've heard, 's progress is beyond what most people experience, with therapy. He is enrolled in an autistic school, as soon as he turns three he may attend. Using all the safe treatment available, I'm hoping for a full recovery of my son. @...
