Hi,

Below is a description of DIM from Nature's Way. It is

specifically for estrogen metabolism - for men and women. My

nutritionist immediately put me on this when she saw my COMT ++

results on the Detoxi-Genomic Panel.

If I understand correctly, 13C is a precursor to DIM and has to be

converted to DIM in the digestive tract.

I couldn't take DIM, so am using 13C by Pathways and notice a big

difference when I take it. I feel less toxic pretty quickly.

My suplement ingredients are:

Vit C 30 mg

Indole 3- Carbonal 60 mg

DIM 60 mg

Betaine HCL 60 mg

Two sources I found on the web are Source Naturals and Nature's

way.

What is diindolylmethane, and what are its benefits?

Diindolymethane is an indole plant nutrient found in cruciferous

vegetables including broccoli, cabbage, brussels sprouts and

cauliflower. Yet unlike other plant nutrients such as soy

isoflavones, diindolylmethane has unique and distinct hormonal

benefits. It supports the activity of specific enzymes that improve

estrogen metabolism. Scientific research shows diindolylmethane

increases the level of " good " estrogens (2-hydroxyestrogen) while

reducing the level of " bad " estrogens (16-hydroxyestrogen).

The health benefits of " enhanced absorption " diindolylmethane are

four-fold:

promotes healthy estrogen metabolism.

relieves PMS symptoms.

promotes fat loss.

supports healthy breast, cervical, uterine and prostate tissues.
