Guest guest
Hi. My WBC count has been low, around 3.2, for 11 years, i keep asking my doc about it, and he says my ratios or lymphocytes or something are OK. Basically, you are so close to the bottom end of normal that a regular doc won't do anything about it. Plus, he/she doesn't know what to do anyway. You are about the 20th person that I have run across w/ low WBC count, and their doc isn't concerned, *even tho* the WBC count was fine pre CFS. Guest guest
My WBC has always on the below normal and low side for many years, my doctor never mentions it either. Have you had your thyroid tested- TSH free T3 free T4? When I became hypothyroid last year I took thyroid meds and my WBC went right back up to normal range but when I stopped my meds a couple of months ago my WBC went right back down again. Guest guest
Nat.. Im unsure, I dont have any TSH free T3 free T4 results in the records I keep. I do thou have one for TSH (Euthyroid TSH) which was normal at 1.11 (normal range is .5-5.00). Do you or does anyone know if with that TSH test being normal if I should at all have TSH T3 and T4 test done as well??????? .. , " natellite " <natellite@...> wrote: > > My WBC has always on the below normal and low side for many years, my > doctor never mentions it either. > > Have you had your thyroid tested- TSH free T3 free T4? > > When I became hypothyroid last year I took thyroid meds and my WBC went > right back up to normal range but when I stopped my meds a couple of > months ago my WBC went right back down again. > > Nat >
Guest guest
Nat-if you were responding to me, my thyroid tests have always been in the middle of the normal range. Believe it or not, my doc even did the more thorough free TSH T3 and T4. Plus, I have no symptoms of thyroid disorder. I looked into it using the Merck Manual as well as online sites, and none of the symptoms fit me. For example, I am not fatigued/hyper during the day. I only suffer, severely, from post exertional fatigue (PEF). As a matter of fact, PEF was a symptom months before I experience sudden onset CFS which made me housebound for 3-4 weeks, and then barely able to work for another 6 months or so.
