I would check your policy to see how much time they give you to

appeal. There should be a section in there on appeals. I sent my

appeal which gave me 60 days registered mail return receipt

requested. The denial letter only had a PO Box so I called the

number on the letter to get a mailing address to send it to. I

successfully won my appeal. Good luck!

60 days to file an appeal? All the letter says is that if I wish to

appeal I should do so in writing.

receiving important documents regarding claims they dont want to pay,

how do I get this appeal to them so that they wont say " Appeal? What

appeal? We didn't get any appeal. " ??? LOL Registered mail? The

kind that requires a signature that proves receipt? The address to

send appeals to is in Houston, TX ~ so hand delivering it is out.

Hi LeeAnn:

I am thinking most insurance companies are different with their

appeal process, so I suggest you call your insurance company to see

how long you have to appeal their decision.

I would definitely send the appeal registered or certified mail.

Definitely!!!!!!!

Good luck!

Each insurance company is different in regards to how long they allow

you to file an appeal. Read through your policy and if it does not

specifically state the time frame then you need to put a call into

customer service and find out for sure. I would suggest sending the

appeal letter by certified mail (registered mail is more for things

that have an insurable value). Once they sign for the letter then you

get a card back in the mail with a signature proving that they

recieved it.

Hope this helps and good luck!!
