Guest guest
Dan, cut back on the bromelain. If it is affecting yr elbow, who knows where else you may be leaking and not see it? Good piece of detective work! Adrienne Has anyone ever experienced " water on the...elbow? " I know it's very common to get water on the knee, especially after trauma or surgery, but suddenly over the past couple days, I've got water on the elbow -- this small area of edema that feels very watery, and a little gritty. It's not hot or excessively swollen, but looks like half a ping-pong ball sticking out of my elbow. The rest of me is skinny as ever, so it's even more obvious. I tried to look up localized edema like this, and found it can be caused by " venous leakage " . Well, does anyone know how to reverse this leakage? Another source said it can result from bromlain use (which I did start about 2 weeks back because of my #@**!! frozen right shoulder. The elbow issue is on the right arm as well... Any suggestions would be sincerely appreciated! Compresses, supplements, lymphatic exercises (light ones due to the frozen shoulder situation)??? Take care everyone! Guest guest
Hi Dan I had this once about 8 years ago. My ankle swelled at one night. Swelling was so much that I could not believe. Was at about 3 inches diameter and went away over a night. I had eaten lots of sugar prior to this. I am thinking that it was an allergic reaction related to adrenal exhaustion.(Aldosterone problems??). I won't be able to say anything more but I may suggest you to cut back or stop sugar, refined carbohydrates, coffee, stimulants, eat some extra parsley, try to get some extra rest. Hope you feel better soon. Best wishes. Nil Has anyone ever experienced " water on the...elbow? Guest guest
Here is another view on ankle/finger edema. Not sure if that fits to your case but i thought you might be interested. http://www.drkaslow.com/html/adrenal_insufficiency.html 1.. Ankle and/or Finger Swelling. Tintera, M.D. was an early pioneer in recognizing and treating adrenal insufficiency. He wrote that salt is a diuretic and that hypoadrenocortics (patients with low adrenal cortex function) retain fluid because the body is trying to hold onto the salt. When enough salt is consumed, the body takes what it needs and excretes the rest. If the ankle edema is due to insufficient salt, the edema will usually disappear in three days after taking adequate salt. If it does not disappear in five to six days, potassium may also be needed. Vitamin B6 is also helpful for edema not only because it has a diuretic effect but also supports the adrenal cortex. Nil Has anyone ever experienced " water on the...elbow?
