Guest guest
My test results from Yasko's lab are in. Anyone who can help explain what this means and what to do about it, please chime in. Surprise, no CBS upregualation reported, however, I am unclear about the rest: ACE Del16 +/+ deletion, COMT H62H ± hetero, MAO A R297R+/- hetero, MTHFR E429A (A1298C) +/+ C, MTRR H595Y ± hetero, MTRR A919G (A66G) ± hetero, SUOX S370S +/+ C, AHCY-01 hetero, MTRR-04 hetero, MTRR-06 V652V hetero, Genovations: CYP1A1 MspI T-C and I462V and CYP1B1 V432L and N453S, (1) SNP in COMT V158M, (NULL) GSTM1 1p13.3, (1) SNP in GSTP1 l104V, (1) SNP in SOD2 A16V. Highlights of Doctor's Data baseline prior to Yasko protocol (test completed 8/9, sent on 8/18): Elevated Ammonia 55700 (12000-49000) Elevated Urea 560 (150-590) Anserine 210 (<95) Cysteine 52 (25-73), Cystathionine 31 (8-30), 1-methylhistidine 280 (70-280), somewhat elevated Elevated 3-methylhistidine 2770 (55-1100) and Glycine 1810 (500-4100) somewhat elevated Elevated Phosphoscripe 130 (25-100) Glutamine/glutemate 18 (5-180), GABA 3.1 (<15) 35 percentile Neurological markers are low across the board, Gordon put me on Alinia for a gut paracite when he review this. Do I need BH4? Do I have to worry about step 1 glutamate/Gaba ratios?
Guest guest
Hi Joanne, I’ve been studying the autismforum.com and if I remember correctly, Yasko says 3 things cause low BH4: a. MTHFRA1298C which you have b. Aluminum toxicity c. CBS upregulation Rich says you can tell if you are low in BH4 if your phenylalainine/tyrosine ratio is high. Yasko also has a list of indications from tests that indicate low BH4: High hippuric Increased 8 hydroxy 2 deoxy guanosine (lack of SAMe or high ammonia can also cause increased 8 hydroxy 2 deoxy guanosine) Elevated phenylalanine, phenyl lactate, phenyl acetate, phenylethylamine Increased ammonia help with Yasko test results, just arrived!
