Can you tell us a bit more specifically what is bothering you?

Otherwise this post about Yasko on yellow makes me nervous. For

instance, you specifically squelched the hair dye thread and we took

it offlist to private emails at once. But here, I am not sure for

instance if what I am writing is bothering you. I would have to look

back through my posts and try to figure out if I am being an

appropriate resource by this definition (I have never solicited anyone

to come onto this group, for instance, except suggesting to Edy that

it might help her as a resource). I have been watching a lot of DVD's,

conducting interviews, etc. Perhaps I am seen as an advocate, for

instance, and you're annoyed at me, or perhaps you're not talking

about me at all. Also, it seems that some questions are so general,

they almost seem to be asking folks to summarize Yasko's approach for

them, and as some have noted, it's not that easily done, and it is

better to go to her website or view her DVD's.

Thanx, this is a sincere question on my part. I actually don't have to

discuss Yasko anymore for instance as I have access to what I need

myself, and share it with the list in hopes of helping others.

Hi All,

Sorry I will not be able to help some of you like I used to. I can't

live up to Ken's expectations to what I need to do to post here.

I don't have enough energy to do all the work as indicated below.

Hope what I have offered has helped others and have pushed them in the

right direction.

I am truly BETTER . . . NO QUESTION ABOUT IT. Thanks to Rich and Dr Amy.

Best wishes to all,

Sue T

Sue T,

I think you have helped a lot of people with the information you have

given. The moderator was not clear in what he expects. By the

description he gives anyone who posts about a new approach is expected

to do more than the average CFIDS person is capable of. I don't know

if this is what he meant.

IMHO you referred people to the Yasko list and books, etc. This should

be enough. It is a very complex system and although I have spent

immeasurable time trying to understand the Yasko protocol, all I can

say is the more I try the more confused I get. And I am among the

burnt out, really sick, hopeless case, tried everything, hopeless case

PWCs.

If the honorable moderator would further explain his expectations it

would help many on this list.

Over the last 10 days I have been getting a lot of email in this

area, including copies of off-board flaming, and name calling.

Usually when I see that, it's not long before the flames crawl into

posts on the boards...

One of the items that I saw had parallels to a protocol that will not

be named, where attempts to open dialogs were being responded to

by " go to this site for all of your answers " . Personally, I prefer

the discussion to be on neutral ground such as instead of " an

interested website " . I believe many on this board feels the same

because they shared the un-named experienced.

Ideally, someone who invite Yasko to particupate here....

Wel, I figured you were getting complaints, but it is really hard for me to

understand what we are talking about here, when things are " unnamed. " The Yasko

thing is apparently awfully hard to talk about when you don't have the

background. People here are still getting basic genetics mixed up. But the thing

is, it looks to me that the dialog is evolving.

You need background for everything we talk about that is experimental

I feel that you must not really be talking to the whole group of participants,

but just some. I really don't understand what you are saying or how it might

apply to me. I feel like I am making headway in understanding the YAsko stuff

and I am very distressed if you mean to cut it off. If that is what you mean. I

don't even know what " yellow " means.

This list is intended for patients to share personal experiences with each

other, not to give medical advice. If you are interested in any treatment

discussed here, please consult your doctor.

Hi

I cannot see how advocating an approach makes you a salesperson if you do

not get any financial gain

Opinions are exactly what we need - since they encourage people like me and

allow us to ascertain if it will help us

We need Sue on this list and whatever she can contribute - surely we should

be grateful for - i am for sure

Cheers

Two things I can think of, Adrienne. One is yellow, as in " yellow

journalism, " which is off-color or distasteful in some way. The other

is the color coding alert system. Yellow is right before orange, and

orange is right before red -- when everything blows to hell.

I don't even know what " yellow " means.

Okay, well, I haven't been privy to that. I'm still a bit nervous. I

would be surprised if she joined this board, but it seems like Rich

did offer to be a go-between for us and to ask questions we give him.

Let me put it this way: are you okay with my posts, or do I need to

stop 'thinking out loud' as I learn right now--for that's what I've

been doing during this intensive period of research. I think I've

added to the discussion, but I don't want to worry about each post I

write. Thanx...

Personally, I am very, very grateful to all of you, Rich, Jill, Sue,

, MJH etc etc etc, to many to mention, who contribute to this

list. I think the info on Yasko is very important for us all to learn

about and discuss here, I hope it won't be stopped. If it were to be

stopped I think this list would suffer appreciably.

Jill, for what it's worth, I find what you're offering to be

fascinating and useful, and look forward to what you come up with next.

Sue, that goes for you, too.
