Guest guest
Hi Annette. Try http://www.iwdl.net/ for bacteria analysis and http://www.parasite-referencelab.co.uk/ for parasite testing. BioLabs test is incredibly in depth and as far as I know the most detailed gut flora test in the world. They do accept international samples. The price of the Bioscreen stool test is $266 Australian dollars + courier costs. DHL and Fedex are good international couriers. Blake Re: Recommended laboratory tests - GUT test in the UK? Dear Blake and all, Does anyone know of a good comprehensive GUT parasite/bacteria test available in the UK? Blake (thank you!) mentioned one by Bioscreen (and I've emailed them for a price) but I am hoping that there is one just as good closer to home. I tried Biolab's website but couldn't see anything comparable. I've been in a bad way since a meal out at a restaurant last year. 3 lots of Tinidazole has helped but not cured it completely. I'd like to get a better idea of what is there causing the problem. Kindest regards, Annette (in London) __________________________________________________________ Inbox full of spam? Guest guest
Hi Annette I've had tests done by Parascope (Parascope Laboratory, Department of Microbiology, Chapel Allerton Hospital, Chapeltown Road, Leeds, LS7 4SA, Phone (0113) 392 4567 Fax (0113) 392 4654) the London School of Tropical Medicine and Great Smokies, now Genova. All these need a doctor's form. I believe Parascope was trained by Great Smokies personnel but they do only parasite testing where-as Great Smokies/Genova do a comprehensive stool analysis that looks at dysbiosis as well as parasites. See http://www.drmyhill.co.uk/test.cfm?id=17 for more comments. Sue annette barclay wrote: > Does anyone know of a good comprehensive GUT parasite/bacteria test > available in the UK? Guest guest
Hi Annette, The IWDL (http://www.iwdl.net/Stools%20CSAP.htm) as suggested by Blake does a CSAP that does not require a doctors note. The lab they use is in the US, IOWA I think. I don't know if the parasite aspect is as good as Parascope but I would say my IWDL benefical and dybiotic flora results seemed more realistic. > annette barclay wrote: > > Does anyone know of a good comprehensive GUT parasite/bacteria test > > available in the UK? >
