Hi , are you the patient in Shoemaker's book " Mold Warriors " ? I

definately have the HLA mold susectible gene, live in the San Francisco

Bay area and once I read the book, put my home up for sale. I spent many

years clubbered by mold near realizing that I could walk away from

dibilitating illness. The question is : what locations offer the best

chance of a mold avoidance lifestyle. I went to San Diego, thinking it

would work, it's drier there and became very ill from the other part of

my suseptible genes, toxins (Multiple Chemical Sensitivities). The air

quality was very bad. I have read about homes in the desert having mold

problems, too. Any ideas would be most apprecriated., Thanks, Joanee

Yes, that's me.

Amazingly enough, the breakthrough for me was to stop looking at

this in terms of locations, or trying to predict where it is.

I didn't even leave Incline to do this, and that's where I was

unable to recover until I really got going on this mold thing.

Instead, what I did is to start acting in accordance with my

military training in chemical warfare, and initiated a strategy of

perception, avoidance and decontamination:

A lifestyle I call MADNESS.

Mycotoxin Avoidance Decontamination Neurotoxic Exposure Survival

Strategy.

What the heck, why not call it MADNESS?

Everybody said I was crazy, anyway.
