You can check out a comparison chart regarding the different bands/helmets at

www.plagiocephaly.org/support. STARbands are made by orthotist in their own

offices. Many of these orthos make other things besides bands. It is possible

you are getting a STARband - you'll just have to ask. The DOCband are made at

specific clinics that are set up to do nothing but make DOCbands and treat

infants. That is why it is so important to know what kind of experience your

ortho has with making helmets/bands and and treating babies with plagio if

you do not get a DOCband. That is not to say that the others don't work -

they really, really well in the hand of a skilled and experienced orthotist!

It is just important to check on the background and experience of your ortho.

sounds like a wonderful child! Very few babies sit through the

process without crying so that is fantastic! Good luck with the fitting and
