Guest guest
Probably this is a " if it ain't broke, don't fix it " thing. *** what do you mean by this ??? But I want to know from others, if anyone takes more than this, and how much. Also, could someone remind me of how and when you alter your dose, based on flare-ups, or exposures or ? ***When you start the detox process via raising glutathione youll notice that other pathogens will start to flare up so it its a good idea to deal with these also. ImmunePro and RenewPro (which are siblings) are highly specialized whey protein products that some of us use to increase the amount of glutathione (GSH) in our systems. Since several current theories about the origins of CFS converge around the theory that we don't make adequate amounts of GSH -- which is the body's main detoxifier and master antioxidant -- raising GSH is one of the more promising avenues for creating significant improvement in one's symptoms. ImmunePro is the older product. It contains a bit more of the active ingredients, but doesn't dissolve well in food. RenewPro is the newer version, designed to eventually supplant ImmunePro in the market. It has a bit less active stuff, but allegedly dissolves better in food. (I tried putting mine in juice a couple weeks ago, instead of my usual smoothie; and I gotta say, if this is an " improvement, " I don't want to THINK about the kind of cement ImmunePro must create in liquid.) Some of us here haven't tolerated either product well, possibly because of some issue with lactose or whey. Fortunately, whey powder isn't the only means of elevating GSH: there are also a growing number of liposomal GSH oral serums on the market, and a few of us (with our doctors' cooperation) take it directly in either IV pushes, or shots. In general, raising GSH helps on several fronts: It strengthens and balances the immune system, making the body a much less hospitable environment for the secondary infections that bedevil most of us and also calming the allergic reactions that are common with advanced-stage CFS. Since most of us have been operating with low GSH for years, we often have high levels of heavy metals built up in our systems -- which GSH naturally removes. When we start raising levels, we begin to detox. Over time, this makes a strong improvement, especially in brain function. As the most powerful antioxidant known, it also helps clear the body of oxidative stress, which allows every system to function better, reduces inflammation, and allows healing to occur. You'll hear a lot of talk about glutathione on this list. Sara

I think that, between the oral GSH and the Recup, I may have reached my constitutional daily limit on Nasty Stuff Dissolved In Water.) I think I'll probably just give it up when this jar is gone. I'm getting enough by other means that it's not worth the hassle. Sara
Guest guest
I mix mine with Goatien powder and water. Do you think that would harm it? To stir it I just use a spoon. Guest guest
Do you mean you take Goatien powder and ImmunoPro mixed together? That's interesting, I've never heard of anyone doing that. I wouldn't think they would hurt each other since they are supposed to do the same thing (which is why people usually just take one or the other). But maybe you just meant that you take your Goatein powder by mixing it with water with a spoon, which definitely wouldn't hurt it. Guest guest
Yes, I take one scoop of Goatien and two of Immune Pro in water every morning for breakfast. Twice a week I put liposomal glutathione in there too. Just hoping it's okay to mix them together. The Immune Pro gags me but with the Goatien it is quite tolerable.
