Good luck with your appointment- I think another UK Mom can fill you in on

some funding for the helmet although don't quote me on that. Have heard such

wonderful things about DR Blecher so I am sure you will be pleased. I wish

the best of luck to you and Zac- the 11th isn't too far off so please let us

know how the appointment goes!

i just want to thank everyone for replying to my e mails last week we

live in the uk and we are now goiing to see Dr Blecher at Kings

College Hospital on the 11th March our son is now seven months old

and the head shape has not improved i am hoping that everything goes

ok as my main concern for zac is the bad assemetry of his ears which

from above are about an inch difference its llike all his head looks

twisted to one side from above it has been mentioned that the helmet

will cost about a 1,000 pounds can any body help further with this

thanks so much everyone also my son suffers from eczema on his face

and forehead do you think the band will cause problems for him

My son's ears are asymmetrical also. Feel free to look at his

pictures. His name is Dane.

He has super sensitive skin and eczema also. He is even allergic to

disposable diapers! He has been in the DOC Band since 2/14 and he

hasn't had skin issues other than sweating for the first 10 days. I

just kept taking off the band to dry it and his head off. After 10

days his body temperature adjusted. We are thrilled with the

progress he has received so far with the band.

Hi :

I'm glad to hear the dreaded casting is done & over with! That's the

hard part. For his last helmet, they actually put him to sleep????

I don't think I've heard that before.

Please let us know when his band is in and how he adjusts to it. The

drives are very stressful but you'll be happy you did it in the

end :).

Hi ,

My name is Eleanor - i'm the person who Dr Blacher

introduced you to at kings on monday - we were in just

before you with our son on - who also got cast.

i'm glad that zac is ok - and is well on the way to a

rounder head.

The journey was a nightmare for us to - about 5 hrs -

and its an ugly place isn't it ?

How old is Zac? on is 6 months nxt week.

The casting was quite traumatic wasn't it - i'm glad

its over with.

We are going down again in two weeks too.

I'[d love to keep in touch.

with kindest regards,

Eleanor (and harrison)
