Guest guest
I noticed this after my initial infection from a probable tick bite, my spleen often hurt, or at least that general area ached a lot. I have read that can be due to excessive immune activation. --Kurt Spleen Qi Deficiency: tongue with teeth marks around the margins According to Chinese medicine people with CFS usually have a spleen deficiency. I saw several Chinese Medicine doctors and they all said I had a spleen deficiency characterized by teeth marks around the margins of my tongue when I stuck my tongue out. Anyone else have these? " A flabby tongue body with teeth marks on the margin and pale in color indicates a yang deficiency of the spleen and kidney leading to accumulation and obstruction of phlegm- dampness. " http://www.acupunct <http://www.acupuncture.com/education/diagnosis/diagmethods.htm> ure.com/education/diagnosis/diagmethods.htm " Teeth Marks on Tongue Body (Scalloped) If the tongue body has normal color, this usually indicates Spleen Qi Deficiency If there are teeth marks together with a swollen tongue, this may indicate Spleen Yang and/or Qi Deficiency. If the tongue is also pale and moist, it is more likely Spleen " http://www.sacredlo <http://www.sacredlotus.com/diagnosis/tongue/index.cfm> tus.com/diagnosis/tongue/index.cfm peace paul
Guest guest
Adelle talked about teeth marks around the tongue years ago as being indicative of a B vitamin deficienty. Many people have this phenomenon. In some people it comes and goes. In Chinese medicine it is one indication of speen chi deficienty. According to Chinese Medicine PWCs are spleen deficient, blood deficient, have shen disturbence, too much heat, too much cold, too much damp, damp spleen, liver and spleen not in harmony, true cold fals heat, reckless blood marauding, fishbone stuck in throat, to much heat rising up, chi not rising up, chi fall, rebellious chi. The list is endless. It's no wonder, given the fact that many CFIDS patients have a list of symptoms a page long! Guest guest
In TCM (chinese med) the " spleen " means both the spleen and the pancreas, and they relate it to digestion and assimilation problems. If one is spleen Qi deficient, then one's digestion is weak, needs to be strengthened so the body can be strengthened... Guest guest
I was told by an acunpucture Dr. it meant you are low on energy. Simple explanation. It is always way more pronounced when I am at my sickest or most fatigued. I also get this if I am dehydrated. Drinking a lot of water plumps up my tongue and my energy. Guest guest
just a brief comment about Chinese acupuncture definition of spleen- it relates to digestion and not to the actual spleen was told this by an acupuncturist from Taiwan, he said when the system was set up they were hazy on anatomy so a weak spleen means weak digestion, which the teeth marks also point to, I have this condition and he told me it meant my digestion was so terrible as food is the source of our energy, impairment could result in fatigue though lately I am looking at other things, such as the Specific Carbohydrate Diet, as a way to improve digestion beyond casein/gluten free Helen > > >Adelle talked about teeth marks around the tongue years ago as >being indicative of a B vitamin deficienty.
