Guest guest
Alison you are awesome I had my second and 3rd child at home. The 2nd one was a water birth and the 3rd was a " semi-water birth " She came so quick I had to catch her myself but it was awesome it empowered me and I feel great about it. She is 5 weeks old. The CNM went downstairs to steralize the surgical scissors, my almost 12 year old daughter left the bathroom and my sister walked in just as I had finishing delivering her. The whole thing was a riot. It was great I (she) shocked everyone and I missed catching it on video. But it will play in my memory for a very long time. I was determined to catch this baby, name the sex, and have a water-birth with very little people around and that is exactly what God had blessed me with. Also refused Vit. K and eye ointment. She tried to scare us about the sexual disease. I retreated by saying I have not had sex in 8 months. That was the end of that. Kudos for you I had my baby just the way I wanted because I set my mind to it and prayed for it a lot. In Western NY there is no more CNM doing it anymore in fact my birth was the 2nd to the last birth that this midwife (a replacement for the original midwife) was to do until they change the laws in NYS. So sad, but true! So if I ever decided on baby # 4 it will be an unassisted birth for sure... with maybe a paid doula, but definately will not have baby's in the hospital. --- Alison <alison73@...> wrote: > Hi Jackie > > I am actually planning on having a unassisted > homebirth with this upcoming baby....
