Guest guest
I dont consider myself a expert and am just guessing here. I would not think they would be dangerous but everyone is different esp. with his autism and possible sensitivities. Perhaps just giving him a bath w/ epsom salt would help make sure nothing bad happens. Others need to chime in here. RE: OT Need Advice My 4yr old Henry did something remarkable this morning and something not so remarkable that I may need some advice on. The good news is that he sat on the toilette all by himself to urinate. This is HUGE and shows his body awareness in that area is finally developing. I am so happy I could cry. To spoil this beautiful moment his brother left magic markers out for Henry to get which he did and put them in his mouth. I tried to wipe it out but it stained pretty good. They are supposedly non-toxic, but I still feel uneasy about it because autism had made him such a sensitive child. Am I over-reacting or is there something I should do? I'm just a little emotional right now. Anita __________________________________________________

Guest guest
You may be over reacting but I would check on the web site for the markers. DD 4 3/4 regularly paints herself so I've learned to buy only things that can be washed off with water. Lydia --- Anita Durney <mydurney@...> wrote: .. Guest guest
Most of them are from Wal Mart or Micheals Crafts. I can't find any names on the markers and the paints are in the bedroom where dh is still sleeping. I alway look for the words " washes off with water " . If you can't get the marker off his face...try oil. Vegitable oil should do it. DD managed to paint herself with permanent marker and it came off with bath oil. Guest guest
Glad it helped. With a wild child I've learned lots of tricks. One thing that I finally got thru my head is that I don't have to keep gifts that are harmful to my child. It's my responsibility to keep her safe. Guest guest
Lydia, Now I have learned how to remove marks off the skin. Now how do I remove it from the walls. Washable markers do not wash off the wall here or perhaps they arent washable, lol. Re: RE: OT Need Advice Glad it helped. With a wild child I've learned lots of tricks. Guest guest
I can't argue with that reasoning. I think I get lazy sometimes or just assume that everything will be ok. Remember what Felix Unger said about assuming. So today I'm an ass (but I won't be tomorrow). Anita lydia campbell <ljkc94@...> wrote: Glad it helped. With a wild child I've learned lots of tricks.
