Guest guest
I'm so sorry you went through that but very happy that you did find a specialist you liked and who respected your feelings and gave you the help you so desperately needed. You are proof that they are out there. Too bad they are so few and far between. Allopaths don't actually TREAT my children. I only use them to establish a paper trail that my children are well cared for and in good general health. No one in my family has ever taken seriously ill so in all honesty, depending on the problem, I'm not sure what course of action I would take. I will say my autisitic son Henry had issues like chronic diahrea and swollen adenoids causing terrible sleep apnea. Untreated, the apnea would haveeventually led to more problems.Though my ped was aware of his problems, I assure you they never got the opportunity to treat him. If I had turned him over to their care, they would have offered drugs for the diahrea and surgery for the adenoids. With the help of a natural practitioner, I CURED him in the comfort of our home. These problems are GONE. New ones didn't result from invasive treatments the allopaths would have used. Of that, I am certain. My ped was aware of my unconventional treatments and witnessed his recovery. I know that's rare and I'm sorry this is not the type of doctor/patient relationship attainable by most of you. I do understand why so many of you feel the way you do. I guess all any of us can do is keep our children healthy by making sure their immune systems are well supported and steer clear of any type of preventable treatments. After all, everything begins and ends with the condition of our immune systems. Anita Anita <jsprecourt@...> wrote: I do have to agree from experience on this one- and I do recommend such things to others that I meet going through similar situations as we did with my son Noah. He began having seizures- about 1 a week, and of course his pediatrician and the hospital neuro intervened and said we had to put him on anitconvulsant drugs. At that time, we still had 100% (naiive) trust and faith in the medical profession, and I think we WANTED to believe that he would be better in their care. Well, almost immediately after we introduced the meds, he started having 200+ seizures A DAY! He was almost 3 yrs old at the time and suddenly wasn't able to walk, talk, and we thought he was dying before our eyes. It was crazy and when we told the doctor we had to get him off the meds, he tried to insist that it was because he wasn't on ENOUGH meds! So.... that is when we started to " wake up " and took matters into our own hands. We saw what was happening and in our case, we were failed by our pediatrician at that time and this supposedly " highly respected " neurologist. On our own, we researched anywhere and everywhere answers to our problem- tried a couple diets, went to a chiropractor (and saw significant success there!!) and shortly after that we did find a wonderful pediatric epileptologist at a Children's hospital that would do the ketogenic diet for him (we had learned about this on the web and it must be done under an experienced doctor and dietician's care- no one around here would even admit the diet worked). He was seizure-free and talking, back to normal by day 4 of the keto diet. Even tho we " like " his current epileptologist and she is rare that she puts our wishes and decisions for our child first, we could never fully put our trust in a doctor again. I am not so sure that is a bad thing. I think it is sad and traumatic what we had to go through, but we did come out for the better in many ways, especially now that our entire thinking has changed about many things. I feel called to help others like us and encourage them to try any non-med route FIRST! I think that we wouldn't have lost a few months of our precious child's life (and honestly we may have lost him completely), but Praise God it is almost 2 yrs later now and we are looking at only 1 seizure in 18 months, approaching 1 year seizure-free right now, he is completely med-free, and should be able to wean the diet next spring and be seizure-free for the rest of his life!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway- that is my personal experience- and on a side note, we strongly believe that Noah's epilepsy was probably brought about from the vaccines/antibiotics he received as a baby. Guest guest
To be honest with you, I am more concerned about pediatricians or doctors trying to call social services etc if we took them and told they werent vaccinated.I know they can not force me even with CPS. I still dont want the hassle. Plus, as far as I know, they would not take them in as patients anyway. It may be good to leave a papertrail in some ways and I can see some benefits of taking them so they can be checked for certain things. I still dont want to or see much need in taking them esp. after one kid actually sneezed directly in my sons face at a well-baby visit. At another visit some kid spit in his face. Fortunatly for me the kid that sneezed just had severe allergies. I suspect that was induced by the stupid vaccines. No thanks, I dislike the idea of waiting for an hour or more and being exposed to all those germs. I am not a germaphobe in general but I do have limits, lol. I can actually see the side of every person that has posted on this subject and see its validity. Although I dont think anyone can really add anything else to the subject. My last post on this subject, lol.
Guest guest
I'll agree you wrapped it pretty well. Sometimes I think people misunderstand the point behind the post and turn it into something it's not. No big deal; a good vent is necessary every now and then and on this group that is possible without being attacked. Guest guest
my paper trail would be CP's and HP's and there are plenty of people we know who see the children frequently. and it's not just because dh is a FP; i quit taking them when my previous FP dropped me as a patient 11 yrs ago. Oh to be sure i took them in to the office ocassionally as an infant to be weighed accurately and have head measured and length and dh charted it but it was just to put the statistics down in their scrapbooks. I do know of one lady - she is very overweight too I might add, who is training to be a medical doctor. She has given her own two boys so much medical stuff, vaccs, panadole, junk foods etc etc, and she wonders why they are sick and not doing well at school...... Guest guest
I noticed that when I posted. I copied, pasted and sent. I don't like the format it turned to after sending. Goodness, it is long. I hope it is printable. Let me know . Anita M McGrath <simonecassie@...> wrote: Tried. Guest guest
My computor skills are pretty weak. Someday soon my husband is going to give a tutorial and help me figure stuff out. It's about ten pm and yeah,i should be going to bed. Enjoy and goodnight. Anita M McGrath <simonecassie@...> wrote: Hello again Anita, YES! It is very long, but also very informative. I have only read about 1/4 of it. Have (hopefully) forwarded it to my email address to see if I can then copy/paste to word and then read it from there. It's something that I want to save/keep, so thankyou so much for taking the time to put it on. I think perhaps have it made into a file like some of the others?? Just my suggestion and thoughts... PS Shouldn't you be in bed over there?? Or have I got the time wrong?! > > > > > I was wondering if you should still take young > > > > sons and/or daughters > > > > > to the doctor if you are not planning on having > > > > vaccinations, I have > > > > > read " How to Raise a Healthy Child in Spite of > > > > Your Doctor " by Dr. > > > > > Mendelsohn and he seems to think that the > > > > very brief office > > > > > visits are of no use for a healthy child and can > > > > actually cause harm. > > > > > > > > > > I have not taken my 10 month old to the doctor > > > > since 6 month check > > > > > up.
