Guest guest
If your friend tests positive the antibody that means at one time she was infected . With no viral load means she is one of the lucky few who clear spontaneously , but she will always be at risk for becoming chronically infected .And she can pass along the virus through her blood . There is no difference for her except it is not actively eating her liver up , she will have to remain healthy in order to continue with her non active status . rs Does anyone have any info on carriers of Hep C. I mean someone that has the antigen but no viral load? My dear friend is one of these people and just cant seem to get any info at all regarding anyone that does not exhibit symptoms and does not have a viral load, but tests positive for Hep C (as well as Hep any info would be appreciated. Guest guest
JS I wanted to ask about your parents. You said that they carry the mites with them, but dont feel them. I am wondering if you have a plan on how to deal with this, so that you dont get reinfected? Holly
Guest guest
Hi again K. I am not sure why some do not feel the mites or get bit. There are theories, though. Some suggest that those who get attacked carry something (a fungus or bacteria) that attract the mites. I thought it could be a fungus, as some types of mites are attracted to fungus (do a search my postings on fungus and mites).. Maybe it is just body chemistry - some may smell attractive to the mites. I wish we knew. -Requireshelp From: Tee Willson <whitedove0099@...>bird mites Sent: Wednesday, March 18, 2009 11:31:37 PMSubject: Re: Re: rs My mom seems to carry the mites also & doesn't feel it. I've actually seen them jump off her when she's been here. She never gets bit or feels them which worries me because my oldest son & gf share an apartment with her & he would get bit whenever he use to come. Why do some not feel them or get bit? I can come to work mite free, but as soon as I stand near a particular individual, I feel bites and carry those mites for most of the working day thereafter. On the flip side, without being close to carriers of mites or affected areas, I don't feel them all day.. I have tested this many times. Guest guest
I'm confused here. I thought mites don't jump but could only crawl. That being said, I'm sure that I've felt them jump. Do I have the wrong information or do we not understand what mites really do? Maybe the ones that jump are something else?I wonder if I infect random people in the subway. Could I be spreading an epidemic throughout the city? From: Tee Willson <whitedove0099@...>bird mites Sent: Wednesday, March 18, 2009 11:31:37 PMSubject: Re: Re: rs My mom seems to carry the mites also & doesn't feel it. Guest guest
The jumping ones are commonly believed to be microscopic collembolas (springtails) but we're not sure. And yes, you could be spreading it everywhere you go... but it's something we all cannot help. The person you sit next to for a prolonged time or the person that sits after you in a restaurant, or the person that flies in the same seat in the airplane after you... just may be a susceptable person with a weak immune system. We're all victims ourselves, just like how WE got it in the first place... had to come from somewhere... most of us know where we got IT from. > > > > Hi Holly, > > > > I get reinfected a few times a week from people at work. Guest guest
Colembolla (springtails) jump, mites don't. The epidemic is well underway - with or without you, so don't worry. The only things you can do are take care of yourself and family, and complain to the CDC about this problem and how widespread it is. You know that old analogy about the drops of water on a rock. Enough of them over a long enough period of time will eventually wear down the rock. Bessie > > > > Hi Holly, > > > > I get reinfected a few times a week from people at work.
