We all know everyone has different reactions to different products, however, I think Trish is definitely trying to help and if she makes a little profit - Big Deal! This is still a captalist country and I, for one, pray it stays that way. And no, I am not a rich person, but I believe those who work for what they have deserve to keep it.

Re: Getting Ready to Do Battle

This thread is getting an inordinate "pro-ESP, Trish" response. I sure hope there aren't "Trish Trolls" on this board waiting to pounce on anyone who dare suggest that Trish's products aren't the end-all... It would be a shame if that were proven to be the case through IP research or other means. If Trish's products are truly effective and really do bring much needed relief to the sufferers on this board and are not just really expensive, nicely packaged, high quality balms that really don't make the mites stop for more than a short time (as I've experienced), then they'll stand on their own. Free Speech is the order of the day, though, and, therefor, everyone on this board MUST respect the experiences of the other members so that we can bring forward to the board what works and what doesn't. That is the goal here, isn't it?For what it's worth, if you've got the inclination and the time, a high-school education, and the wherewithal to research ingredients on the internet, you can save big bucks by making many of these products yourself. Furthermore, you can have more control over the essential oils and fragrance used since I assume that some people have a higher tolerance for some things like cedar oil and lavender oils or whatnot. Also, while we're on the topic of Trish's products, I noticed something on the ingredient list that was misleading: "Sulfur from flowers". Don't know what that is, but I'm assuming it's actually "flowers of sulfur" which is known as Sulfur USP Sublimed Powder Pharmaceutical Compounding Agent, NDC: 0395-2799-94 for your pharmacist's reference. I know all this from reading the bottle sitting in front if me. I don't sell it, I have no financial gain at stake here at all. You couldn't buy something from me (or anyone I know) if you tried. Get it? I don't understand why someone who's a neutral, dispassionate party would run to the defense of someone who sells products to the audience here if they didn't have monetary gain. Your motives are clear. BUGGER OFF, TROLLS! > > >> > > > >> > Well, after 3 years of being sick as a dog, I have finally been approved for Social Security and received a large back payment check. difficult so i know what you mean,Walmart sell for 4.00 dollars, actually Target

sells for same amount and I guess I am not crazy bout the Walmart, might try your

menthol idea as this is one itchy bugger of a day

I was diagnosed with Hep C years ago, but didn't start showing any symptoms

until about 2002. Then from about 2005 - on, my condition worsened rapidly and

when I finally got health care and a biopsy, cirrhosis was 4 on a scale of 1 to

4. I get very, very tired, have these perfectly alarming and frightening PLUNGES

in my weight, and am usually sick every morning. Also was dealing with

depression - I was clinically depressed for years but self-medicating - you know

that old sad tale. I am now on Celexa, which works wonders but is extremely

addictive - if I miss more than a day, I go through some very wierd withdrawals.

Better than being dead, though! ;)

Yea, I have pretty much decided to make my own balms. I might buy the soap,

which is a little more in my reach. Menthol works well, I find, but it also

really pisses them off if they're on my skin, and they give me a dying bite.

I've got a bite now on my left boob, of all places. Nasty little suckers.

Wow scam artists? I hope your not talking about Trish vscribe. She has been

working so hard to get us help and has more of less dedicated her life to

helping people like US.If you were talking about her I think that cheap shot was

Ah, I was thinking the bird mites had factored into the disability

equation. Yes, making your own stuff is really the way to go. And now you'll

have time on your hands with your much deserved new income. I have to stay

heavily covered in balm most of the time, so it's just not practical to buy the

prepared products. I'd go broke! Some of these scam artists want $60 for an

eight ounce tub of balm! I can do the same thing at home for pennies on the

dollar, and put into it exactly what I want. When you start getting into it

please post your recipes. I'm sure you'll have some great ones.

I don't give a hoot if people make their own balms,I'm poor relatively and maybe

can't afford it,I think it's just not great to judge each other even though

that's what We do and some of that is normal,When I feel like crap and have bugs

You can buy menthol crystals online and make your own version of Gold Bond

medicated lotion, sans the mineral oil and inflated price tag, of course. We

bought ours from here:

http://www.lotioncrafter.com/store/Menthol-Crystals-pr-16182.html

The package arrived SUPER quick and they have excellent customer service to

boot. The menthol crystals can be easily melted down on your stove top (or mug

warmer/diffuser), then mixed into lotion of your choice. Or, you can whip up

your own body balm and add the menthol to it. If you need help making it, just

give me a holler...

No Trish's ESP products are not a end all cure but I don't remember anyone ever saying that? Now I only speak for my self but they have helped me a lot. I have been using them for about 4 months and I am seeing improvement all the time. I do believe in free speech and I like vscribe but calling someone a "scam artist" I thought was inappropriate. That's all nothing more nothing less. I really do understand what everyone is going through but feel that we can express our selfs with out name calling. God

Freedom of speach is a two way street! And I know for a fact that not one of the responses in favor of Trish and her hard work came anyone that is affiliated in anyway with ESP botanicals. I for one have gotten so much releif from her soap!! When I called to talk to someone about my order, I think it was Sue was very kind, after we spoke for a while she put Trisha on the phone--Trisha took significant time out of her busy day to encourage me, answer many questions, she made me feel so much better!! I hadnt placed a big order, at the end of our conversation--I asked Trisha if I should order anything else, her response proves that she is not out to "SCAM", she said no you have all that you need! I really saw the heart that Trisha has for sufferers that day--so it hurts

me to hear ugly things about her! Sorry if this offends anyone--I am just exercising my freedom of speech.

I think the repeated advertising is unhelpful and can even contribute to my symptoms. I never once thought or felt mites entering my ear, skin, nose, or unspeakable areas, but after reading some of these posts, nightmares have become real (or imagined)I partially attribute this to the format of the discussion forum. If we were on a web based forum, we could just have a sticky about ESP products and people would not have to read about them and work themselves into an itching spell, unless they chose to seek advice from that thread.Buggersbyme,I appreciate your scientific approach to the situation and I would like to ask the maker of ESP products if sulfur from flowers is indeed flowers of sulfur as listed. I for one would never buy misleading products. In the spirit of free speech and full disclosure I would like to

challenge you to create a list of many of the ingredients used in these balms, and where they can be purchased as you have already graciously done for menthol crystals.Of course your methods for creating them can remain a secret if you so choose, but if you are really in it to help people I believe there are much more cost efficient methods to help the less fortunate such as me achieve these goals. If you are interested, I would also like to know what sorts of people buy your products besides those afflicted with bird mites. Although I make no judgment about you or your company, I'm sure you could see how one might wonder if these products are being targeted to a desperate audience with lacking scientific (from you and the scientfic community as a whole) support to back the claims made. Finally, I would like to say that I believe there is disinformation being spread here whether it be intentional or not. I

myself am guilty of using websites as sources, but as we all know, anyone can make a website and claim whatever they want. If this discusion of bird mites is going to progress anywhere, people will have to start finding peer reviewed sources to back up their statements, or else Morgellon's disease will forever remain in the realm of pseudo science and magic. From: buggeredbymites <no_reply@group s.com>Subject: Re: Getting Ready to Do Battlebird mitesDate: Monday, April 20, 2009, 5:49 PM

I think it's very easy to equate personal attitude towards Trish/ESP based on

the how much positive effect it's brought the person. Each individual person has

different results with her products as with any other remedies we discuss here.

I've been on this board for 7 months now and topics come and go and many are

cyclical. When we were discussing cedarcide, ppl flocked to it, spent over $300

on the starter package. When we were discussing dehumidifiers, we went to

stores in droves and bought them. Mine cost $200, plus it doubled the

electricity bill. But no, there are no trolls from Cedarcide or Best Buy on this

forum. And I don't recall anyone complaining that these products were not the

silver bullet. It has certainly brought relief, as you said in your own words,

that's what we need to stand behind a product. It appears that your results

vary from some others. But to let you know, I have not had earth shattering

results with her products, yet I continue to use them. I never had specks or

fibers oozing our of my pores the very first time I masqued. I continue to feel

crawlies on my face even when I have a lotion bar in a jar coated on my face.

Here's why I keep using her soaps and balms. B/c I still believe they are better

than something I can buy from Walmart or some mix of lotions and cream that I

conjur up at home. I once mixed sublimed sulfer w/ lotion (1:9 ratio as

discussed in scabies forums)... it was messy, made my skin dry out, and it stunk

up my clothes. I have bottle and bottles of essential oil sitting on the

bathroom counter - tea tree, cedarwood, geranium, lavendar, citronella,

lemongrass, clove, etc, etc, etc. I add them to the baths I take and also into

the alcohol/witch hazel spray that I make to spray my laptop and plastic chair.

But to be honest with you, I don't have the time and energy to experiment with

all the diff formulas. If I can buy them off the shelf (ESP in this case),

great. I'm finding that rubbing the ESP shampoo on my face helps with the

crawlies. And the thing is, I know that it's not bad for my skin. When I go to

saunas, I apply balm on my face before walking into the sauna. I can't think of

a better thing to use that I'd want to really penetrate and soak into the skin.

I'm not against home formulations by any means - if you happen to find a mixture

that works great for you, by all means share it with all of us. Side note - I

get a bit frustrated when someone on the forum announces one day " I'm FREE!!! "

and then disappear without a hint of details of the protocols and remedies that

worked for the person... anyway...

Also, I continue to buy b/c I like the product in general. It's very safe and

the ingredients are of high quality. I never gave so much a thought into

lotions and soaps before getting this. To me Keri was " premium " lotion and Dove

was a good body wash. Her products have made me more conscious about crap we use

everyday. Not to mention, it really does nourish your skin and rejuvenate it,

to restore it, after all the crap I've done to it b/c of this - this includes RP

mists, windex, pesticides, and dryness from the dehumidifier. If you're coming

from a female perspective, many past and present folks on this forum only use

ESP now as their lotion, replacing many more expensive products out there (I

posted about this before...compare ESP to anti-aging products from Shiseido and

Lancome for example).

But the biggest reason I support Trish is b/c she supports us and fights for the

bird mite/morgs community and tries so hard to get the news out there that we're

dealing with a real and serious pandemic. It's like a congressman that fights

for the right of the under-privileged ppl in the community. We need more

fighters like her. I'm not sure of other ppl's experience with her but speaking

to her on the phone personally is enough to convince me that she is a genuinely

caring person, so much that she would continue to chat with me even when she's

already running late to a meeting.

You may not have been here when Trish was part of this forum briefly back in

Jan. But she's elected to not participate anymore. There were some heated

discussions but it was never about scamming anyone or whether her ESP line

worked. She didn't come and try to sell her products to us. Instead we buy

them by word of mouth. She participated in two ways. First one was that she'd

post any new important news out there on the forum - supplying information. The

second was more of her pleading for many of us to stop using harmful products

for our env and on our bodies (i.e. off label use of RP being one of them). In

the end she felt best that she'd leave the forum. I support Trish but I do lots

of stuff she won't like too. My place is smothered blue from wall to wall in

RP. I've sprayed RP on my body, rubbed it into my scalp, I do all the stuff that

would make some cringe here. We're all adults here... if a person is unhappy w/

ESP products (or other products in general), just don't buy them anymore. For

example, Sue was a great proponent of Orange Plus cleaner. I bough 3 bottles

but really didn't help. So I don't buy them anymore.

And remember, one thing many of us here agree on is that many of us are dealing

with different " things " although we share the same symptoms. Some truly have

identifiable, visible mites. Others (me) have these " things " that we have no

idea what they are. So it's not surprising different results are attained by

different folks.

Just my overly long 2 cents.

You hit the nail on the head. When we suffer, and

there is no help, we do tend to feel victimized.

It's great that we can come here and vent, get

advice, as well as hear and share each others

horrible stories. Thank goodness we have each

other to turn to.

I remember two things that stand out in my mind when

I first came to this board. One was that someone had

commented that if they did not get help soon, that they

wanted to commit suicide. I thought, WOW, that is so

drastic. Well, let me tell you, I know exactly how that

poor soul felt after they had taken over my body so

badly. If someone would have offered me something

to put me to sleep, I would have jumped at the oportunity

on a couple of occasions. The second thing, was how

everyone was getting rid of all of their furniture and

carpets, etc.... I thought, Oh My, I can't do that. Well

that all changed rather quickly.

This is a horrible ordeal to go through, and yes, we'll

all say things now and then when we feel so darn hopeless.

But, we can move on, as we can all understand how vulnerable

we can get living this way.

I'm no angel, but like I do have two of my own - My two

Miniature Schnauzers (Addie & Myron) and they get

soaked every night. I can't even sleep or cuddle with them much,

but one of these days it'll hopefully change.

I don't give a hoot if people make their own balms,I'm poor relatively and maybe can't afford it,I think it's just not great to judge each other even though that's what We do and some of that is normal,When I feel like crap and have bugs attacking me it's hard not to feel victimized, but i do think venting is important also,I've been In AA many years and We try to remember that one comment can push someone over the edge,We all have both positve and negative and none of us our saints, except my cat --- no_reply wrote: From: buggeredbymites <no_reply > bird mites Subject: Re: Getting Ready to Do Battle Date: Mon, 20 Apr 2009 21:49:09 -0000 This thread is getting an inordinate "pro-ESP, Trish" response. That is the goal here, isn't it? For what it's worth, if you've got the inclination and the time, a high-school education, and the wherewithal to research ingredients on the internet, you can save big bucks by making many of these products yourself. I appreciate your thoughtful, articulate, non-rambling reply, but it's worth at

least a nickel :)

For what it's worth, I, too, have consulted with Trisha and have ordered

products from her totaling at least $200. This was during the winter some time.

I love the products for the most part, but find they are nothing special when

the goal is killing invisible biting things that are on me. The products she

sells are of the highest quality ingredients (with the possible exception of

" sulfur from flowers " WTF?) and you really can't find anything like them

elsewhere that I know of. And she does seem to be an advocate for the morgellans

and mite sufferers of the world. All that is true, but, really. I don't want to

" feel " good, I want to be completely rid of this disgusting plague, so I do NOT

recommend her products to someone who is trying to kill these little monsters

because they do NOT kill them. That's the bottom line. It's not my opinion, it's

a fact that in my experience after using all of the products I've purchased from

her, ESP soap, shampoo, lotion, balm, and others I can't recall right now, I

still suffer from this malady. And now, for added fun, the drains on my sinks

and shower are full of gunk. Dawn (takes grease out of the way) seems to work

pretty well at eating the gunk from the pipes, btw in case I'm not the only one

with plugged pipes. There's a nickel back atchya. :P

Oh, and another thing: Her response to the use of roach prufe was, in my

opinion, uncalled for. That stuff is harmless. So is boric acid. It's so

harmless, in fact, I doubt it's effective against this spawn of Satan, but I'm

still giving it more time before I'm going to come out against it, and if I do,

it won't be for health reasons. Just remember to wear a mask when you apply it

because it's not a good thing to breathe in particles that small. Unless it's

tobacco smoke. That's alright, but not borates.

How do you know there are Trish troll's on here?? You definitely implied that, you didnt say that you know for a fact, because you really dont even believe that is the case. It was just a manipulative ploy to try and make those reading this have a slight thought that it may be true. Trish HATE MONGERS will probably just add to her business!! I hope so! I too suspect this site is heavily " trolled " by ESP cultists. The fanatical

response to normal discourse is disturbing and quite telling to anyone with a

working radar.

Like you, I will not succumb to the subtle tyranny being demonstrated by the

trolls. This is a forum for bird mite sufferers, not marketers slamming anyone

who doesn't support their particular product line.

I dont think anyone was getting bent out of shape until you started calling

people who have had success with Trishas products 'TROLLS'.

People dont like being accused falsely.....its human nature......

Back when I was on this forum for over a year you would never have read such a

post.....its an absolute shame......and of no benefit to anyone.

WOW - 57 replies to my little topic?

Y'all stop fighting! Here, I'll do my mom impression:

DON'T MAKE ME COME IN THERE!!!!!!

Someone above said, we live in a capitalist country. Whether this is good or bad

is beside the point - it is a fact. I don't have a problem with Trisha making

money on her products. She discloses what is in them, just not the exact

proportions. And they are 100% organic, something that is near impossible to

find in stores.

However, I simply can't afford to buy the balms or serum. I did buy three bars

of soap, and will start experimenting with my own concoctions. Please join me! I

think we can come up with something really nice, that is not only for body bugs

but for healthy skin, to keep it healthy.

Maybe we can add a little scent like Jasmine or Rose to the balm. I always feel

better when I smell purty! ;)

Let's be pals, people!

Yep, I hear you. I already trashed most of my stuff when I got sick and moved in

with my sister - I've only got one loveseat, which is going to be tented and

fumigated with Cedarcide, after being soaked in enzymes and borates - and a

coffee table. I never felt anything on the loveseat, but I'm sure they will be

there. I will be buying a platform bed, with one mattress, which I'll cover with

a plastic cover with the zippers taped. Everything else that is made of cloth -

clothes, throw rugs, etc., is in mothballs now.

I'm going to get onto a daily routine of spraying the walls, ceiling and floors

with enzymes and/or Citrisolve, and bi-weekly fumigation with Cedarcide, to keep

them from getting a foothold in the new place. I do not want to use poisons

except for the borates. My liver doesn't work properly and they would be

especially toxic, possibly even fatal to me. There really are things worse than

having bugs, believe it or not!

I'm confident that I can beat this eventually. Thanks everyone, for the help and

suggestions.

Liana, I think having success w/ Cedarcide is repeated applications so you can

really fight off their rather quick life cycle. Your bi-weekly plan sounds

good. To every gallon of Cedarcide, I'd add an ounce of nylar and also some

essential oils like orange oil, tea tree, lavendar, or whatever is helpful but

not offensive in the odor it leaves. B/c the base liquid would still be mostly

cedarcide, it will still fog up very nice and thick. If you don't already,

getting a real respirator is key, not just a dust mask.

I had to stop using Cedarcide b/c the fog and smell was permeating into my

neighbor's unit... ah the woes of community livinig!

I like Cedarcide but it sure is expensive!!!

I have used Trish's products and they are great for the skin, however I am not the one who is bothered by the mites. It is only my husband they love.

We have tried a lot of products and the only ones I can wholeheartedly recommend are CedarCide(It does have a residual effect) It kept our home free of them for almost a year with one heavy fogging and a few minor sprays around beds and furniture. They never got into our computers or phones. Neal did take a lot of ivermectin, which helped a lot, but did not cure so when Roach Prufe came out and I read the manufacturer's notes on it we decided to try it in our washing machine. We washed everything in it on first cycle in very hot water, then 2 rinses. I know that works because I have seen the dead mites on my laundry appliances. Neal has occasionally used the RP powder directly on spots that felt activity and has not felt them lately. We intend to continue using it in our wash. We both have had extensive blood work since using it and everything came out normal.

I would be very careful not to breath it, but otherwise it seems to be harmless to us.

Are you aware you can use esp soap as a masque for your skin and leave it on all day or all night. Just soap up and let it dry naturally (or use blow dryer) It does not feel sticky or leathery on my face and I can actually use makeup over it if needed. It is also all natural products with no petroleum products at all.

Give Trish a break. She is only running a small business and has our best interest at heart. Besides, I don't have time for all that mixing etc.

Re: Getting Ready to Do Battle

I think it's very easy to equate personal attitude towards Trish/ESP based on the how much positive effect it's brought the person. Each individual person has different results with her products as with any other remedies we discuss here.I've been on this board for 7 months now and topics come and go and many are cyclical. When we were discussing cedarcide, ppl flocked to it, spent over $300 on the starter package. When we were discussing dehumidifiers, we went to stores in droves and bought them. Mine cost $200, plus it doubled the electricity bill. But no, there are no trolls from Cedarcide or Best Buy on this forum. And I don't recall anyone complaining that these products were not the silver bullet. It has certainly brought relief, as you said in your own words, that's what we need to stand behind a product. It appears that your results vary from some others. But to let you know, I have not had earth shattering results with her products, yet I continue to use them. I never had specks or fibers oozing our of my pores the very first time I masqued. I continue to feel crawlies on my face even when I have a lotion bar in a jar coated on my face. Here's why I keep using her soaps and balms. B/c I still believe they are better than something I can buy from Walmart or some mix of lotions and cream that I conjur up at home. I once mixed sublimed sulfer w/ lotion (1:9 ratio as discussed in scabies forums)... it was messy, made my skin dry out, and it stunk up my clothes. I have bottle and bottles of essential oil sitting on the bathroom counter - tea tree, cedarwood, geranium, lavendar, citronella, lemongrass, clove, etc, etc, etc. I add them to the baths I take and also into the alcohol/witch hazel spray that I make to spray my laptop and plastic chair. But to be honest with you, I don't have the time and energy to experiment with all the diff formulas. If I can buy them off the shelf (ESP in this case), great. I'm finding that rubbing the ESP shampoo on my face helps with the crawlies. And the thing is, I know that it's not bad for my skin. When I go to saunas, I apply balm on my face before walking into the sauna. I can't think of a better thing to use that I'd want to really penetrate and soak into the skin. I'm not against home formulations by any means - if you happen to find a mixture that works great for you, by all means share it with all of us. Side note - I get a bit frustrated when someone on the forum announces one day "I'm FREE!!!" and then disappear without a hint of details of the protocols and remedies that worked for the person... anyway...Also, I continue to buy b/c I like the product in general. It's very safe and the ingredients are of high quality. I never gave so much a thought into lotions and soaps before getting this. To me Keri was "premium" lotion and Dove was a good body wash. Her products have made me more conscious about crap we use everyday. Not to mention, it really does nourish your skin and rejuvenate it, to restore it, after all the crap I've done to it b/c of this - this includes RP mists, windex, pesticides, and dryness from the dehumidifier. If you're coming from a female perspective, many past and present folks on this forum only use ESP now as their lotion, replacing many more expensive products out there (I posted about this before...compare ESP to anti-aging products from Shiseido and Lancome for example). But the biggest reason I support Trish is b/c she supports us and fights for the bird mite/morgs community and tries so hard to get the news out there that we're dealing with a real and serious pandemic. It's like a congressman that fights for the right of the under-privileged ppl in the community. We need more fighters like her. I'm not sure of other ppl's experience with her but speaking to her on the phone personally is enough to convince me that she is a genuinely caring person, so much that she would continue to chat with me even when she's already running late to a meeting. You may not have been here when Trish was part of this forum briefly back in Jan. But she's elected to not participate anymore. There were some heated discussions but it was never about scamming anyone or whether her ESP line worked. She didn't come and try to sell her products to us. Instead we buy them by word of mouth. She participated in two ways. First one was that she'd post any new important news out there on the forum - supplying information. The second was more of her pleading for many of us to stop using harmful products for our env and on our bodies (i.e. off label use of RP being one of them). In the end she felt best that she'd leave the forum. I support Trish but I do lots of stuff she won't like too. My place is smothered blue from wall to wall in RP. I've sprayed RP on my body, rubbed it into my scalp, I do all the stuff that would make some cringe here. We're all adults here... if a person is unhappy w/ ESP products (or other products in general), just don't buy them anymore. For example, Sue was a great proponent of Orange Plus cleaner. I bough 3 bottles but really didn't help. So I don't buy them anymore. And remember, one thing many of us here agree on is that many of us are dealing with different "things" although we share the same symptoms. Some truly have identifiable, visible mites. Others (me) have these "things" that we have no idea what they are. So it's not surprising different results are attained by different folks.Just my overly long 2 cents. > > > > >> > > > > > >> > Well, after 3 years of being sick as a dog, I have finally been approved for Social Security and received a large back payment check. Dear Joan, what do your dead mites look like? We see black " things " under our

bed sheets and we still have no idea what they are. My husband is hardly

bothered because he smokes, but I see the " things " under his side of the bed as

well. He's a carrier, I think. Do you suspect you have bird mites or something

else? I ask because I think it's important to document what works with what

genus of mite. So far it appears many of us are grasping at straws, myself

included. We have thought of using Cedarcide too but haven't noted enough

efficacy to justify the expense. Are you still using it? We are currently using

" Tempo " but would gladly switch to Cedarcide if it actually works on NFM. BTW,

Onslaught works well on carpets but I fear the things have built up a resistance

to this chemical in our household, hence our desire to try something else. I

also suspect the " things " build up resistance to non-chemical protocol.
