Guest guest
Dana: That is a very legitimate concern! We actually have a member in our group who has a baby in a band right now as well as glasses. I often worry about Abby needing glasses when she gets older. We rec'd correction in her band, but her ears are still somewhat misaligned. Just last week I bought her some sunglasses to be " cool " in - and sure enuf, they sat very crooked on her ears :'(. I was so upset by this. Luckily, both hubby & I have perfect vision & most of our family members don't wear glasses - which I'm hoping Abby won't need til way later in life either. Then I tell myself to not worry about things that " might " happen down the road - or else I'll give myself an ulcer . I did the most I could do to help her out & this is the way God wants her to be (just like me & my big shnoz, thanks!, hehe LOL). Guest guest
Dana, I worried about the same exact thing too! In fact that was part of my argument to our neuro about why Kaylie needed a band. I asked him what if she needed glasses, will her uneven ears pose a problem. His response to me was 'how many American women do you see choosing glasses anyway' meaning that Kay could wear contacts instead. Jerk!! My husband is as blind as a bat without his glasses, so I know somewhere down the road glasses will be in at least one of my kids future. Optometrists will be able to work around the unevenness of the ears. Most likely though finding glasses off the rack, such as sunglasses, will sit a bit crooked.
