DYING to get rid of critters

Unless we outlive them, what's the point?

At one point there was only one way I saw to kill the critters.

Cremation.

Ooooh, I don't think so.

I'm taking them out, they are NOT taking me out.

This means I had to make a decision to do absolutely everything I

could to get rid of them as soon as I 1) discovered it 2) could find

the $

without jeopardizing my health.

For me, that meant--

1. No ne, and no more Clorox on my body. I had already tried to

drown myself in Clorox and salt, and my particular set of critters AT

THAT TIME just used the buoyancy of the salt water to climb on my

neck. Two birds with one stone: they got away from the Chlorine and

they got a free meal! As for the ne, its efficacy was

questionable at best, and worth the risk (remember, I'm only talking

about for me, here).

2. Finding ways to use/disperse powders/crystals to keep them out of

my lungs. I keep a package of those little blue pleated surgical air

filters on hand. They are not the best solution, but they are cheap,

and they keep most of the airborne particles out of my lungs.

3. Finding the weakest strength of pesticides and other toxins to use

on my body, on my pets, and in my environment--that work.

4. Using goggles and a respirator when I spray toxins.

5. Reading ingredients and warning statements.

6. Making a New Year's Resolution to try to get to bed earlier at

night. I don't know about y'all, but not only am I a night owl to

start with, but I dread going to bed only to find that I have to get

up, re-vacuum, re-shower, etc (you know the drill).

7. Recognizing that when I am under a ferocious multifaceted attack,

which happened yesterday after I forgot I gave my dogs Frontline and

played with them (it was BIG flea world here after that), I still

need to think about my rules even if, on a case by case basis, I

throw them out the window (I didn't). (More about yesterday's attack

in a separate post)

What are your personal " I won't go there " things?
